Five years that incredible. Sometimes it depends your daily route .I have go around a few roundabouts and go up and down a multistorey car park.I have hankook s1 evo2 in my golf which have lasted longer than the turanza bridgestone on my previous focus

Thanks yes a long time with the same 4 tyres. I also had Hankooks on my MK3 Focus RS and they are a great set of tyres too. You can't really go wrong with any of the premium manufacturers when it comes to tyres 👍

Most decent tyres last really well unless you intentionally put rubber down. Doing 70 to 80 on a M’way is not burning rubber. You can destroy tyres in 10 miles or less if you do CARWOW or TopGear style of do’nuts.

Very true. My driving style is very much on the taking it easy side day to day so tyre life is owner dependent. Driven hard I could imagine these would go under 5,000 miles in the hands of a hard driving owner potentially in a FWD car 🤔

Good choice with the Goodyears. I used to run Eagle F1s on my GTD for years, across a number of genrations. I did think about getting the GYEF16 but decided in the end to pickup 4 PS4S from Costco as they were doing a deal. Have heard the goodyears are very good on comfort and noise though, anecdotally. Looking forward to seeing how you like them.

Thanks! Yes so far they have been great...certainly more on the comfort side from what I had been expecting. I'll share a video next on how I am finding the Goodyears but interested to hear your feedback on them with your GTD. The PS4S are also great tyres it just seemed as though I could not get them on an 18" tyre in the UK 🤔

@@SamAustin It was a mapped MK6 GTD and I ran gen 2, 3 and maybe 5 just before I traded it in for my R last year. Due to the economy, and the fact I had it 9 years, it did a lot of work miles, and was hammered a lot too. But wear was good and comfort was always great. Part of me wishes I did have 18s on the R, but I have 19s Prets so comfort definitely comes into play as they are a lot harsher IMO. Be good to hear your throughts on the 6s eventually. Either way I think with how you drive it it will be fine.

5 years! Youve had your money's worth. I've been using Goodyears on mine and never get more than 18 to 20,000 miles. Enjoy !

If you have an accident whilst recording/driving, could the Police use that as grounds for blame due to undue care and attention? Also does it invalidate insurance? Not being a killjoy, just looking out for you buddy.

No different than talking to a passanger whilst driving from my view. However I don't make the rules so no idea is the honest answer for that.
