I've cried my eyes out during these days when I had to spend my days hiding in the bathroom when I heard the sound of rockets and bombs, when I had to leave my city and move to another one to finally be safe. It's hard to fall asleep sometimes, your head is full of thoughts about the future that might not exist, about your loved ones that might be harmed. After this song I got the stoic and decadently optimistic feeling that everything is going to be alright eventually and I will get through this as I always did. I listened to Michelle's songs when I was extremely happy, when I was gravely depressed and I'm listening to this miracle now. Thank you, Michelle.

Lyrics: You’ll never get love by force The truth will always take its course Some people really have no shame It’s just an illness with a name We were having too much fun Drinking coffees in the sun Someone wanted to be king Came and fucked up everything Goodbye my dictator, goodbye Cause everybody knows it’s time You’ve had more than your share of pie Goodbye my dictator, goodbye It’s hard for most to understand That good intentions not all have Why must we always stand on guard When there is love and there is art We were having too much fun Drinking coffees in the sun Yesterday life was divine But now we’re going back in time So goodbye my dictator, goodbye Cause everybody knows it’s time You’ve had more than your share of pie Goodbye my tormentor, goodbye Goodbye my dictator, goodbye Cause everybody’s sick and tired We’ll all be dancing when you die Goodbye my dictator, goodbye Goodbye my dictator, goodbye Cause everybody knows it’s time You’ve had more than your share of pie Goodbye my tormentor, goodbye Goodbye my dictator, goodbye Cause everybody’s sick and tired We’ll all be dancing when you die Goodbye my dictator, goodbye Goodbye my dictator, goodbye Goodbye my dictator, goodbye Source: Bandcamp page of Michelle Gurevich

It is so sad this song resonates not only with the current madness but also lots of countries including my beloved country ! We can't wait to see ourselves dance and sing once he is gone! Thanks Michelle for helping us to stay sane!

Thanks for this beautiful song, my dear. The dictator who stabbed our freedom here is Erdogan. I don't know who your dictators and democratic tyrants are. But I hope one day we wake up to free mornings. And I hope nobody's egos cause the death of millions of innocent people. In this dark world, we refuse to be hopeless and cowardly. "Cause everybody’s sick and tired We’ll all be dancing when you die Goodbye my dictator, goodbye"

When I came across Michelle’s music two years ago, I was at the lowest point in my life: the “dictator” in my family had pushed me to the point of considering suicide, for I could see no other way out. She died five days before this song was released.

Michelle's voice and singing breathes the necessary charm into the ballad. Which is not necessarily easy with this (current) ambiguous topic. Mastered with flying colours!

My god I love your music. I am from Florida USA. But my roots are in Poland. I love all the Baltic nations. I pray that we all don't get caught up in war. We all good people. Just because I live in USA doesn't mean that war cannot happen here. It depends on the dictator. Love you all from USA Florida.

Michelle, your vibe fits very well to the one of black metal. I think if you tried you could make some very beautiful black metal, because it's a genre that matches the emotions you transmit through your music

Look at everybody bonding over their shared hatred of oppression here :) Also, love the "... drinking coffee in the sun" part. There's an interesting piece of history trivia about coffee. In some parts of the world throughout history, coffee was banned. One of the reasons were it "stimulation of radical thinking" against the autocrats (an example from the Muslim Ottoman Empire. Interesting historic trend, as I see many Muslim commenters here). The rulers were afraid of their people using their brains too much so they banned it, thus drinking coffee in public became a crime. I feel like the "... drinking coffee in the sun" part is a reference to that, the dictators' attempts at controlling people's minds.
