When Obama was first elected, my daughter was just a little younger than the girls, and she wanted to put together some presents for the two of them when they moved into the White House - I think it was bubbles and some crayons? And so we packaged it up and sent it in the mail to Sasha and Malia. Not really thinking anymore about it, one day my daughter got a letter in the mail from Michelle Obama thanking her for her thoughtfulness. She was overjoyed and we will forever feel a very special connection to the First Lady 🥰 (It was most likely just her office, but we don’t care!) It was so wonderful ❤

That's so sweet and praise you for bringing up thoughtful children aswell. The Obamas were the best and it's so sad that they left a great legacy however trump just ruined it completely tried to become an emperor of sorts by lovingly watching TV of gladiator type ppl fight for him and ppl died that day overthrowing elections like dictator Putin. Hi Sarah, I read Barack's lastestdbook and he says that all throughout his presidency he would sit down sometimes late at night to read and answer letters that were sent by people from all over the country. Apparently they actually do this type of thing. Maybe it really was her who wrote to you back then 😊

The Obamas are definitely my favorite presidential couple I've lived through (for reference Clinton-now during my life). They always come off as very refined and dignified but, also down to Earth. Plus they got SOOO much guff from political opponents and partisan news but just brushed it off with style.

You don’t know anything about either of these woman than what they curated and wanted you to see. Don’t judge people unless you personally know and have seen their character.
