Well that's silly. Anne Hathaway, Julie Newmar & Eartha Kitt were all great, even if their respective movies/episodes weren't as much loved or culturally relevant as Batman Returns. Michelle was iconic though. Just I think it's a shame that the iconic nature of her turn as the character overshadows some performances that were equally as great acting-wise or in terms of natural suitability in appearance. Nostalgia is a powerful factor I guess.

Hell is a super mild swear word when used in a bad/swearing way rather than in a religious way where you're talking about the place. We do call it swearing in the US. Some people say cursing or cussing, but swearing is equally as common. Nobody says blaspheming for swearing. I'm pretty sure that is different...I think blaspheming has a religious connotation to it. But I very rarely ever hear people use the word blaspheming.

Livin in the southern states, we say "cussing" the most. "Cursing" or "swearing" is not as popular. And depending on how you say hell is swearing.

I live in the North East (in New England) and I'd say "swearing" is the most popular. "Cussing" isn't really used here from what I've heard. I think when I lived in Florida they said "cussing" a lot there.

i'm in Texas we do use "cussing" a lot but i started to use "curse" more now that I'm a little older. "hell" is very common period in the states though i never see anyone offended or shocked by the word hell.
