Michelle is the female counterpart of Jackie Chan. If there was Jackie then there is Michelle. still to this very day 2017, can kick ass and looks gorgeous, sexy, classy and deadly as well, as if she never aged for the last 3 decades of her career as an actor. beautiful inside and out and so humble and kind. Never see herself as a huge superstar. so grounded and very human. and simple.

@twnyc31292 жыл бұрын
I’m Asian too and I agree with Jason. It was cringy. It’s the same shit my classmates used to do around me when I was a kid. I do think that most people are more aware now to not do stuff like that around us. The worst was when my best friend’s parents’ friends met me once and made the karate noises. Back then, when classmates did it, I just chalked it up to them being bullies. But when adults did it, it made me feel like shit. Anyway, nowadays in 2022 people are much more aware now. I walk around with my little nieces and nephews and white people do not approach us making those noises. We’ve come a long way. I’m sure Rosie meant no harm in it and she would def not do that today bc we as a society are generally more aware of how behaviors like that can come off as racist.

@@socksumi 1. It goes to show how much you know about Malaysians. Her ancestry is Hokkien (father) and Cantonese(mother) but since she was born in Ipoh which is the lingua franca for people in Ipoh, the language she communicated with her parents, relatives and other Chinese were Cantonese. 2. She went to study in an English medium school but that is more for formal education instead of everyday speaking with normal folks. Malaysians are multi-lingual. Not everybody in Malaysia know how to speak English well especially the Chinese hawkers in Ipoh who could only speak Cantonese and bit of Malay. 3. She can speak Cantonese well when she was in Malaysia (before going to HK) but couldn't read/write Chinese characters because it was taught in Mandarin in Malaysia.
