I remember growing up watching Tim Burton's movies. From Batman to The Nightmare Before Christmas, I feel in love with his hauntingly beautiful characters. I know Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland comes out today, so I wanted to create a look inspired by his romantic, dark vision. Obviously this isn't something you would wear to school or work, (unless you work for Mr. Burton himself). BTW, If you are in NYC, GO GO GO TO THE MOMA to see his Exhibit, it's up there until April I think. AMAZING. But this look is beautiful without the crazy wig I had on.

*didn’t set her eye base, she went straight in with the eyeshadow *didn’t immediately try to blend eyeshadows, she packed on the colour first *very smart about using tissue under the eye to prevent fall out *lightly/naturally filled her brows *smudged/blended her pencil liner … This girl was waaaaaay ahead of her time with the makeup hacks and trends 🤩🤩🤩

I remember learning everything I know about make-up from our girl Mish since about 2008. I loved this look then, when I was 12, and still do at 21! She really is the best teacher, even now I think. She taught me way back then that your natural beauty is always your best look, and however you enhance it should be fun, an expression of yourself that makes you feel happy and beautiful. If you have really dark circles using a correcting concelear first like a peach color can cancel out the darkness under your eyes.

OMG, she used an Essence of Beauty brush! I adore those brushes! I don't have much money & can't afford to get Mac or Tarte brushes, & most inexpensive brushes suck, but Essence of Beauty ones are AWESOME!! They're all $5-$10, & some of them come with 2 brushes in the package. And they last for years too. My favorites are the eyeshadow crease brush duo set & the 'purse sized' (but it's really not, it's pretty big) powder brush, but i use it for blush.

Sometimes when women put on foundation and concealer and all that, you can see it caked on their skin. like they painted their skin on and you can see pores and caked on make up. How do you avoid looking like that when you put your make up on?

I think she said in one of her videos, that if you take a clean make-up sponge and put a little water on it. Then lightly pat where you think it looks a little caked on it helps. (〜￣▽￣)〜

Karrie Burton Hi there ^^ if you are already pale then you can just use your regular foundation that matches your skin tone. However, there is a small trick in our makeup artist world is that if you want to look even paler, mix your foundation with crushed white eyeshadow ^^. Hope this helps and excuse me for my bad English :D
