Matara said similar when she started, but more on the fact of how shocking it was that with Vshojo, when she says to the managers that she wants to do something, they're all instantly on-board, asking if she needs art, music, etc, and it just took her by complete surprise compared to what she was used to. It says a hell of a lot about Niji that managers actually supporting their talents feels bizarre to her.

well compared with what they can say vs holo they do, but holo treats their employees a little better. Phase Connect Idol or Vshojo are better though in terms of almost everything. Vshojo has clique like Niji and you won't enter if not already hugely succesful and friend with people inside. Phase and Idol are less famous so getting known is harder, the initial fanbase and growth will be less. All of those three have less experience and contacts in terms of 3d concerts and such but if you are not a singing artist getting into holo, does not seem worth cause you will be very restrained in eveything else you can do and in niji, nowadays, it does not make sense to try to enter unless extremely desperate.

Those who listened become more skeptical, but the overall public impression remains mostly the same. -Nina graduates. First NijiEN liver to even HAVE a graduation stream. -Mysta graduates. Makes several comments regarding Niji work environment, on top of his previous thinly veiled complaints as Mysta. Those in the know feel vindicated, public opinion begins to sour. -Matara joins VShojo. Her astonishment at the difference in work environment is plain to see. Public opinion is rapidly approaching point of no return. -Mika graduates and goes quiet. She claims not to know what she'll do after retirement, but most people already speculate she'll move to VShojo, since they've basically earned their "Niji rehab facility" and "VTuber retirement home" labels after Kuro and Matara. -Sometime around Mika's graduation, the Selen megayab happens. Selen is forced into silence. Speculations abound due to NijiEN's tumultuous history regarding stealth suspensions. A few months later, she is officially and unceremoniously terminated. Everyone is outraged. Doki follows in Sayu's footsteps and releases her side of the story. Thanks to her excellent standing in the broader community and overall longer experience in NijiEN (debuted merely a month after Lazulight), as well as Niji's already low reputation by that point, the truth is now accepted as such. Sayu's story is recontextualized and far more readily accepted, now considered a warning that went unheeded. Niji continues to blunder, even remarking that the entire situation's consequences would be "negligible". Everyone with half a brain disengages from Niji entirely. Shares plummet. -Michi joins VShojo. [YOU ARE HERE] Omitted but just as relevant are Yugo (now Unnämed) and Pomu (now Mint)'s graduations; while important, the talents mostly chose not to comment on their previous situation much. The fallout is very surreal. I really want to see actual change from the asshole agency of the day, because of how so morally corrupt it felt to be in there, as expressed by the graduated talents that have now become their own talents independent of an overarching corporate culture. Yep. A real and genuine psychological effect. Spend long enough in any situation and your brain rewires it as "normal", and typically normal is seen as positive, I suspect due to familiarity being wired as "safe". "The devil that you know is better than the one you don't", as the saying goes. So past a point, even people in horrible situations will feel SOME degree of safety within the comforting blankets of being ruthlessly abused. And so when they leave it, some might want it back to varying degrees. But once a genuinely healthy environment becomes your new normal, you'll feel a level of comfort and safety that utterly eclipses the coping mechanism you relied on before. None of this is to say that this is what's necessarily happening to Michi. I have too little information to go on, and this seems to be different. But it can definitely happen to people in her position, even if it doesn't always.

@michaeldaniels64213 күн бұрын
You are talking about the Ship of Thesseus problem and that is not what you described. The Ship of Thesseus is that as the ship gets older boards rot and need to be replaced, eventually the entire ship will have been remade with new pieces, at that point is it still the ship of Thesseus? If you build a ship from pieces of another ship the original is the ship you took pieces from to build the new ship. That being said your point about the ship making the crew happy is a good point.

It's kind of a smart business move. They make Nijisanji go through all the trouble and cost of doing the auditions, training the talents, and showing the bad apples. They then pick up the cream of the crop who are discontent, give them a sweet deal and make them happy to join. They are able to avoid the costliest part of building a brand-new talent from the ground up. And if you can survive the Nijisanji black grind (for a while atleast), then you are tough enough to be a veteran vtuber who can bring your fans with you.

And as a result, the people who thrive the most within the company are the ones that do the bare minimum. Just the occasional song, otherwise just karaoke zatsu and games.
