There are 3 million people in Iowa. Only about 100,000 people voted. Trump had 53,000. And the other three split the other 50,000. How can you say Trump is going to win when only 53,000 people came out and voted for him? I don’t get it.

Biden is not restricted by a "Catholic" position on abortion. Even the Pope has softened in some areas. The Pope supports the good Biden does, because the Pope prioritizes social justice in general FIRST, before fighting for a pro-lfe agenda. @@708robertd No because she uses the question format to state misinformation. - 1. DJT is not calling for an abortion ban. Not true. Although he criticized the 6 week ban, be boasts about overturning Roe and claims that he will be able to “negotiate” a ban that everyone will love. 2 Biden’s faith means he’s less committed to reproductive rights. Not true- just issues a statement committing to reproductive rights protection last week and signed 3 executive orders in this since Roe was overturned. Implies that decreased support from Black and progressive communities has something to do with Biden’s performance. What Clyburn actually said was. “I have no problem with the Biden administration and what it has done,” Clyburn said. “My problem is that we have not been able to break through that MAGA wall in order to get to people exactly what this president has done. If you took the little simple thing [that is] student loan debt relief, he promised to relieve student loan debt, and he has done that.”

Whitmer was great- I found Margaret’s questions inaccurate and misleading. DJT is looking for an abortion ban- while he has criticized 6 week bans and hasn’t named a number, he stated he will negotiate a number all states can agree on. Biden has a strong history of supporting reproductive rights, including last week’s statement and signing an executive order order in 2022. Her question on Clyburn’s concern with Black and progressive support is also inaccurate. Here is what he actually said: “I have no problem with the Biden administration and what it has done,” Clyburn said. “My problem is that we have not been able to break through that MAGA wall in order to get to people exactly what this president has done. If you took the little simple thing [that is] student loan debt relief, he promised to relieve student loan debt, and he has done that.” Margaret- we know why Biden’s message is not getting out. It’s thanks to journalists like yourself who are more concerned with right wing critiques than with providing accurate coverage. At least Whitmer was savvy enough to use the bad faith questions to promote the Democratic agenda.

Why doesn’t she say about not putting a number a week for viability. Why doesn’t she mention the low % of late term, and that almost ALL is because there is a medical emergency!! And that’s why it needs to be up to the doctor, and the family! Remember ALL the movies where the doctor asks the Husband, “It’s the mother or the child!!” The movie always shows both surviving. Unfortunately, in these circumstances, one or both don’t survive. No mother wants a late term abortion!! Most of the time, these occur when the baby has already passed and the mother’s body doesn’t go into labor and the baby becomes toxic to the mother. The doctor then needs to save the mother’s life. It’s tragic and sad. And that’s the sad truth. I don’t understand how a politician can’t have a conversation about the truth. A vulnerable, candid, compassionate conversation about the sad truth. That the percentage is low, but that also we have the highest maternal death rate of any industrial country!! That within that low percentage of late term abortions, it’s a medical emergency, and that it’s nothing but tragic!! Ask any OB!! But OB’s are terrified to speak on this!!

Even as an atheist, I see the traditional U.S. policy of supporting Israel as very divisive. This is because in many instances, Israel's position is flat out wrong. This has been especially true during Netanyahu's leadership. Even before the Hamas atrocities, Netanyahu's administration declared the multi-decade old proposition of a 'two state' Palestinian solution as 'Dead'. Yet here we are again, pumping $$ billions $$ of weapons into Israel while in a most indiscriminate manner, Netanyahu is slaughtering tens of thousands of citizens and has already damaged some ~70% of the entirety of Gaza. In response to Blinken's and Biden's renewed call for a two state (or ANY) solution, Netanyahu basically told them to 'Buzz off. Mind your own business'. Some within Netanyahu's administration have gone so far as to openly advocate evicting all from Gaza, and that Israel should claim Gaza. That drew massive international criticism. It was then explained away as an 'opinion'. In reality, it was much more than that. Dissidents have noted that the targeted destruction of high rises, hospitals, water and power systems, bombing of supposed 'safe' areas, and excessive restrictions on food, medicine, etc., is all meant to render Gaza uninhabitable. If only 1% of the 2 million who have had their family and friends killed, their homes and neighborhoods destroyed, been left stranded in tents in so called 'safe' areas that are bombed anyway, and deprived of food, water, power, and first aid, become sufficiently provoked into joining an entity as extreme as Hamas, then Israel has already recruited 20,000 new, aspiring anti-Israeli terrorists. The U.S. is not obligated to cater to Netanyahu, especially when his long term plans are only compounding the problem. If we continue supplying military aid, while Netanyahu offers ZERO towards a long term solution, then Netanyahu is dictating U.S. middle east policy. We need to correct that.

@@down-to-earth-mystery-school I understand not bing enamored by Biden. But we were faced with the same issue in 2016 with Clinton/Trump. While Clinton was experienced as Secretary of State and was well versed in foreign affairs, I reluctantly voted for her. Had a moderate, like Ohio governor Kasich, won the GOP primary, I would have voted for him. But trump's vitriol won. When it's down to just two with any prospect of winning, picking a third just to make a statement is a mistake. If the worse of two evils win, you then contributed to that win. Please make a choice that counts and do it in person in order to refute accusations about mail-in ballots.

Joe Biden needs to be addressing the fact that things are not great for everyone on the job front. There's a huge group of older technology workers looking for jobs right now. Many that are not physically able to work the type of jobs that are available. Tech companies have done significant layoffs. Even those who are physically capable of taking the available jobs see a huge pay decrease.

@@bryansmith7706 there hasn’t been no economic rebound. We can’t spend $4 trillion to barely squeeze out 2.8% GDP. All the growth that we have encountered was all due to massive deficit spending. Which means when the spending stops the economy comes to a complete halt. look at the numbers that came out the past few weeks. Look at manufacturing look at the Empire State manufacturing. All of those indicators came in ultra -2024 is going to be very different than 2023. Companies are already laying off in a massive way.

@@peterponcedeleon3368 Right - that's why new unemployment claims are at record lows, and unemployment has remained below 4% for the longest time in almost 60 years! And deficit spending is way down compared to the Trump years. And those deficits are actually INVESTING in the economy, not just spending and tax cuts. If I won a business and use it to get a loan then spend the money on a new boat, that is bad debt. But if I use that debt to expand my business and increase profits it is good debt.
