I don't know what Wink's plans are but man oh man on obvious passing downs if these guys want six to seven talented dbs on the field, they can do it.

They better not change that zone cover they ran last year. I don’t think these guys can hang running man vs teams like Texas, Oregon or Ohio state. We are going to need to play smarter because face it we don’t have the same talent this year.

Michigan’s secondary looking much healthier. Our defense is going to be really, really good again. We’ll see how our offense comes along, but things starting to look pretty good!

We are just adding bodies. These guys aren’t studs. Let’s be honest. They aren’t even 4 star recruits out of highschool or in the portal.

@@SteveOliver-ju5pw Josiah Stewart was a 3 star graham 3 star grant was a 4/3star depending on the site rod Moore 3 star Mikey a 3 star Josh Wallace was probably a 2/3 i used to be the biggest critic on stars but man Michigan has proven they can turn these 3 stars into damn. Near 5 stars

QB talent quite a step down everywhere - no Williams Penix Daniels Maye JJ Nix - this year - no QB in the portal really a big upgrade/sure thing - and pretty much no one anywhere. Sanders Ewers Gabriel Beck - really are they THAT much better???

Been saying all spring that secondary depth was their biggest concern other than maybe QB. These pickups are huge and the exact right way to use the portal. Just need one or 2 of these guys to step up and be a main part of the rotation that keeps everyone fresh without a significant drop in production. I'm seriously thinking their defense might be better than last year. If the production from guys like sanristl and moore can be replaced (even if by a committee), there's no reason to think they can't be just as good or better. Now, if they can get good production from whoever starts at QB, they should be able to compete with anyone in the country. 3 key things a michigan QB has to do well to be successful as a player and an offense is be accurate on intermediate routes, be able to extend plays with his legs while keeping his eyes downfield for open recievers, and convert on 3rd downs. I guess, these are important for any QB, but especially one that isnt asked to throw 50 times a game or throw past 20 yards very often. While i think orji is the best athlete UM has at QB, i have concerns about these other areas of his game and think warren might be a better fit.

Im worried about the QBs but as im looking at there schedule there opponents QBs are just as a question mark plus are there many good QBs in college this year besides afew

Lets keep the momentum going. Tyler Baron may be joining Michigan Football soon; adding Nigel Glover would make me feel alot better about Semaj Bridgeman leaving. What are the needs on the offensive side of the ball? Can we get a receiver that projects as a 1st round pick for a change? Right Tackle is an area we need more depth, and maybe we bring in an elite FCS quarterback.

If they are happy with the quarterbacks, they have then they are in trouble unless they know something I don't and as for WR they need a big body taller receiver who can catch the 50/50 balls and they better focus on the offense because they can't expect the defense to carry them all season if they not getting production from the offense and they can go asked Iowa Hawkeyes that from last year.

Right. Just like you probably laughed at the Josh Wallace signing. Doesn't mean these will pan out, but Michigan has done a pretty good job to date of identifying good portal additions.
