SW Michigan 2022 fall salmon run has definitely produced some quality fish this year all over the state. I hope everyone is having an amazing season and keeping those lines tight! On this trip, I attempted to outsmart one of Michigan's hardest fighting fish species, the coho salmon. Each time I go out I attempt to learn something new and constantly adapt to the ever-changing habits of these fish. What might have been yarn yesterday may be a spawn sack, skein or single bead the next. On this trip I was using my 8'6" Ugly stick rod pared with a Abu Garcia spinning reel spooled with 15lb main down to a 10lb fluorocarbon leader. I promise you don't want to miss this one.
