I never realized how useful Alt Brake could be until you mentioned it. I had a Formation Standing start on Road Atlanta just a few days back and I had to hold the brake pedal until the light goes green so I wasn't able to get into 1st gear until then. Definitely recommend setting that one up to avoid jump starts!

I have a problem. My logitech g920 wheel is not in sink with the game wheel. The game wheel is centered when my wheel is fully turned to the left. Logitech g920 has a 900 degree from full left lock to full right lock

You know what setting I never see covered is how to adjust the mirrors. It's really important if you race in VR. You use the same controls you use for adjusting the seat + Ctral or Alt depending on which mirror you want to adjust.

Hello I had mapped a button to +/- TC and ABS. But once I press the button during race, a display popped up and said "TC/ABS adjustment is not available". I am using 992 GT3 and it should have both. Do you know what's the problem? Thanks.

Hi Michi. Thank you for all the content. Quick question. For lower end wheels, like the G29, would you still recommend smoothing on 0, and why not higher? Would you still recommend 100% steering sensitivity, as opposed to 50% (for example)?

You skipped the seat adjustments which are useful for some cars where you can barely see over the dashboard or are sat far too high by default. As someone mentioned below, they're also useful for the mirrors, as some cars have them pointing at weird angles, even the rear view screen can be off-centre. I used a G29 until recently (its second to last outing was at the Monza VEC race), and I found with that I had to increase the minimum steering torque to get rid of the dead/floppy bit in the centre (I went up to 18 or so percent, which is the point it started to oscillate), but with a DD wheel I now have it on zero as you suggest.

Do I have to create a FFB profile for each car and each livery? I've tried to create just one profile but sometimes when I switch from Formula Pro to Indycar, ie, and I try to load the profile it does not work. What if I edit the allvehicles.ini file and set the same FFB value for all the cars of a kind? Should I create a FFB profile anyway?

So I have a wheel that isn’t on the menu and it won’t give me ffb

the game doesn't recognize my wheel or pedal inputs. it displays manufacturer/model correctly but doesn't register any turning of the wheel or pressing of the pedals in the calibration section of the menu. wizard is no help either. can someone help me? menu is absolutely frustrating..

Thnaks great video. I’m new to RF2 been playing a week now, great game, however the FFB stopped working completely for no reason? Tried looking at all the “fixes” Ie json edits etc nothing fixes it. I’ve basically given up on that game now. Shame as it was fun.

I was told to drop the throttle sensitivity down to around 30% , sounds crazy but I did and it dose give you a lot more control particularly on corner exits , well worth a try . also years ago I got some thrustmaster cougar mfds for flight sims and they are perfect for mapping keys to so they are at your finger tips , there is two in the pack and each has 20 push buttons and 4 up and down buttons , so that's 40 buttons and 8 up and down buttons, . beats fumbling around trying to remember keys on a keyboard .

@Michi Hoyer Its actually false where you say to everyone to set ffb strength to -value because that is the case for my SC2 pro but on the Fanatec DD1 it needs to be plus not minus otherwise they get the same effect you mention we get on SC2 pro so maybe edit to let people know

Great video, but is there any way to adjust the car specific ffb multiplier while being in the car? It's a bit odd to jump out into the menu when you are new to a car and want to get the maximum ffb value without running into clipping.

Hi, such great help to a newbie such as myself, so thanks. Ive followed all instructional videos thus far, but when on track any car I'm in auto accelerates. Its not an idling thing with the auto clutch but full acceleration in whatever gear I'm in. Any help from anyone would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey mate, can you please check the part of negative FFB? In the game it says it's just the direction of the signal which can be inverted in some wheels, but you are saying something different, maybe? Cheers!

Great stuff ! New to rFactor - but so far its a very good look and interaction ! I have trouble with this and Automobilista 1 & 2 due to the inability (and general oddness) to finding and re assign buttons. There seems to be no way to lookup ? I emailed the gurus and they told me "not possible" with windows even though I referred to several other sims that of course allow things like finding a button assignment by pressing that button, or using a TEXT lookup. Is there any way to do this ? This is close to a deal breaker for me. It seems the button assignment screen(s) for certain SIMS are creepy similar (AM1 AM2 and rF2). Maybe its an opportunity for 3rd party addon ! PS I abandoned AM1 due to these odd screens and many unaccountable issues with buttons.

Allerdings hat man die Button belegt kann man diese ja benutzen bzw einstellen. Richtig? 2. Bei den BTCC kann man ja 2 Varianten wählen 2021 und 2022. Bei den 2022 ist ja p2pass. Is das dann nicht unfair den 2021 gegenüber? Über ne antwort würde ich mich freuen. Hoffe ich hab das richtig verstanden 😄

Have VRS Wheelbase and as soon as I tried to leave the pits the ffb was like of and then the wheel started to move around like crazy and almost broke my wrists. What can be the problem? Thank you!

Hi michi i have the new Logitech DD wheel,i seem to have lag on the ingame wheel.when i set to software in the settings the wheel when sat still..it bugs out and spins to the right or left really fast and the - ff value makes no difference so,, i have to set it to driver which is fine it works ok and feels nice but i can't get rid of the input lag the rotation in game macthes my movements it's just lag any ideas would be a massive help thank you

haven't watched the vid yet. Ignore me if it is answered since I'll watch it later but honestly I can't find a thing about this anywhere on the net. I'm baffled...... G923 works very well with this sim. However, I can't for the life of me figure out where the Ignition and starter are mapped. Ignition says SEMI Starter say SNGL_QT Sometimes the engine shuts off if I screw something up. I need to hit the starter again or when I'm fueling up I may want to turn the engine completely off. But I have no idea what the those are referencing. I might just find a button I don't use for the default purpose and place at least the starter on one of those.
