best time in wrestling, period, though. 97 was my favorite year, then 98 (then 02). WWF = excellent, WCW = sweet, ECW = insane. All at the same time. As of right now TNA may actually be starting to catch up but WWE is still THE wrestling promotion.

@musicismyfavorite777 i remember when wwe pushed him for a while, he had some of the most entertaining promos at the time, and a lot of people were comparing him to shawn michaels, specially since he had zeke as bodyguard and all. Having him as leader of the x division (specially since the x division always lacked a good talker) is genius imo.

Like, you'd think with Hulk Hogan backstage, AJ Styles would ask "hey Hulkster, would you have done this angle?" or Samoa Joe would ask "Would you have let yourself get pushed so far into the mid-card?". Hulk would say "HELL NO, BROTHER!". Same with WWE...these guys just take whatever their given and that's it. Austin MADE Austin, he wasn't given it.

I get what you mean...like when you see a Stone Cold promo now, and it's censored, it's not the same. But I'd be fine with less profanity if we had engaging wrestlers who were booked in engaging stories. The writing sucks and there's some good wrestlers, but no icons. And TNA is no better. They're allowed to be edgy and they have good talent but it just doesn't work. Maybe we were just spoiled and now we're jaded. But I agree...I miss Razor Ramon, The REAL HBK, the REAL Rock, Cactus, Macho, etc

Looking back at this now, this is shocking. Two guys who buried a billion dollar company and another who was far past his prime. H2 buried the x division because he didn't understand or cared. Look who came out of it... AJ, Joe, Christopher Daniels, Chris Sabin..the list goes on.

@JMVEntertainment : Ahem, during Hogan's prime in the 80s, WWE was PG then too. Same went for the New Generation lead by HBK & Bret, via the Screwjob. In fact, the Attitude Era wouldn't BE if WWE did NOT use ECW concepts to create that era (ex: Stone Cold Steve Austin = WWE's version of The Sandman). However, TNA now isn't doing any better by being WCW 2.0 though, either.

Be real, TNA is no better. They do good stuff like put the belt on Aries, then do things like say AJ Styles is fucking a crackwhore. That's their posterboy...Think WWE would do that to Cena? lol. I don't hate TNA, and I think they have a lot of potential, but they need a lot of work too. The problem with both companies is no one has that DRIVE that guys like HBK or Austin did, to be the absolute best. And yeah, the wwe 13 roster is probably going to piss a lot of us off lol
