One of my favourite things about following Mick over the years is hearing all the creative ways he finds to reframe and repurpose his use of Water as a metaphor for Truth. It's laced throughout every album, sprinkled in places you don't expect it and places you do. Dude is wildly creative.

Mick really is manny pacqiao with them punches and flows. Hes just got his own lane and own unique way of doing it. I think he already is on par with the best of the best but just didnt get the recognition yet. Thats why these reactions are so important. Much love!

For Rugburn, this might be a reach. But he keeps bringing up sleeping on the floor. Which happens because there’s no place else to sleep. They’re sleeping on the floor because there’s an elephant in the room. Mick is the elephant in the room.

I'm seeing ghosts like it's bleach. Bleach is an anime where the main character Ichigo can see ghosts. Someone also mentioned bleach can kill you which leads to you seeing ghosts.

Coming back to this video after a bit and a whole lot of relistens to this album. In the first track, the hook is such a powerful bar. "Ye though I walk through... everything they taught me." The valley of the shadow of death is the darkest place you can ever be in life basically. The hardest trial. And he basically says that that trial is just what he has been taught. What he learned he has to unlearn to make it through. That's the trial. And that's even the whole sentence off the hook 😅

Y'all probably wont see this but you guys need to react to planet Giza. Its a group that is super underrated. They do beats for mick jenkins and also make songs. They go to do concerts with him sometimes too. I know that you ll like it. They did like 2 albums and a few singles and its fucking incredibe. Try listening to "short notice" and "ladies move" by planet giza and you ll see what they are capable of. They put in so much hard work for such a small audience its amazing.
