When I got his autograph, he had just been beaten in the Irish Derby on Dr. Massini for Weld ... when the Stablemate, Zagreb got up to beat him. He still signed my card afterwards. The best I ever saw.

Interesting, it was STS' intelligence that set him apart. Something new on the gallops would stop him in his tracks, and he would have to stop and make sure everything was well before going on.
