You guys have to make do with Maguire, while we can literally bench a player like Van der Ven, that's how much quality we have in defense. Yes, Van der Ven has only played 2 matches for the Netherlands, one of which was very poor. So no, he indeed won't be a starting player this Euro!

Positioning and dives into tackle that's his weakness. He will get that part of game spot on with experience. No doubt. But when he does that recovery spee and slide tackles he gets doneeee badd .

Naah!! This dude is overrated. He's a speed boat with no driver. His speed is both his strength and his weakness. He shines when chasing and recovering the ball, but struggles in one-on-one situations.
