"I have resist magicka as an orc!" Fun fact, Resistance to Pure Magicka is near useless because of how weird Morrowind calculates magic damage. Technically elemental damage (fireball, frost touch) is resisted by resist fire/frost/etc. But **Damage Health** is resisted by resist magicka. So as an prc you take full damage from that shock spell. It didn't work like this in daggerfall or Oblivion onwards. Weird

The ashes of Lord Brinne is actually an easter egg in reference to a very active member of the Bethesda forums that died during development, there are a few others in various ancestral tombs.

There's a free Ebony Longsword with an Absorb Life enchantment in Suran you can get at the start. No one I've ever spoken to about Morrowind knows about it. You run down the stairs from the Silt Strider and enter the Guard Tower on the right. The sword is under the bed upstairs. You just need something to make you invisible because there's a guard standing there. I usually make him face the corner as well.

Those "Greater Shock" spells can kill you even when using the Toggle God Mode command on PC. That spell is no joke.

The 100% easiest way to do this quest is to also have the official fletcher mod installed too, then buy all the area of effect arrows you can. When you MISS on purpose and hit the ground with these arrows the spell still fires. In fact hitting the target and rolling a miss will NOT cause the spell to fire, so its almost better to aim at the floor like its a missile launcher. The spell when cast is treated as a trap, so the enemy can not reflect that damage back to you. The skeleton lich has reflect, so this is a really easy way to dps him without risk of backfire.

Something I always did as a kid was make an orc, at level 1 go to the dire plantation, sneak attack the man with the deadric dai-katana using the orc racial. Then that allowed me to kill the rest of the people in the dire plantation which got me deadric greaves and shield. Along with other glass and ebony armor.

After around 17 years and 6000-7000 hours of Morrowind, I didn't know there was Orcish armor in Ghorak Manor. That's why Morrowind is my favorite game of all time, there's always new stuff to discover.

I didn't think you could pull it off. The lich's spell does a flat 100 shock damage, and it constantly restores 10 health and magicka per second, meaning you need to be able to lay on a lot of DPS to even hurt it.

"Im gonna swim to Seda Neen!" I fell this. I once accidentally dropped my controller and killed boatman for Solsthiem and would have to swim back to Vvardenfell...

Maybe a tip: you can spam taunt on an NPC during persuasion to force them to attack you, so you don't get a bounty.

Ah Morrowind, beautiful in its janky coding. One of my all time favourite mods changes the entity collision boxes to actually conform to the volume that the entities take up instead of the vanilla collision boxes which are needlessly enormous. This means that you can walk past someone who would otherwise block a doorway, stairwell, narrow hallway, bridge, etc...

I think "Resist Magicka" in Morrowind doesn't reduce the effect of Destruction spells with flame, frost, or shock damage, which is why your orc kept getting maged. Personally I think it doesn't make any sense for it to not reduce those spells, but I don't work for Bethesda

You can technically farm infinite gold with alchemy in Balmora by making a certain potion with infinite respawning ingredients.

Absolutely loving the fresh Morrowind content and your Irish accent. My personal advice, hotkey potions and spam restore fatigue. Your hit chance is really messed up from having no fatigue (amongst other things).

It refers to effects such as - damage health - drain health - absorb spells - blind - burden Pretty much any offensive magic that is *not* elemental As a result the resist effect isn't as strong as in Oblivion or Skyrim, but still useful for things like the Boots of Blinding Speed

If your character ever gets stuck on the terrain in Morrowind, if you open up the console command with ~ and type fixme it will move your character a few inches and usually this will always un-stick you if this ever happens again. This video is old so I hope you see this comment.

I remember fondly the one time I tried Fort Frostmoth and cleared it out. Never set foot in the place since tho, lol Also, I don't know if you know this, but in Morrowind, if your fatigue is empty/low, your chance for successfully casting a spell is reduced. That's why your healing spell keeps failing. It also plays a part in why you keep getting knocked down, too.

I remember that I attempted this "quest" at level 8, I cleared whole fort, get to the boss, and get annihilated. I decided to level up and return later. I get back to the boat, but dude (khajiit?) who return you to Seyda Nin bugged and just says "Goodbye". And I didn't leave Mark near the Creeper. So I swim, and swim, and swim to Seyda Nin. Moral of the story - Screw this official "Expansion", I can live without +Luck shield, and at least my Athletics get leveled up.

A usefull hint to anyone who wants to raise drakens early in the game: REPAIR the armors and weapons you get in the smithy nearby BEFORE selling them. The screeper will only pay you full price if the item is pristine. A way more usefull hint: The creeper in Caldera has only 5000 drakes in his pocket, but thru the Construction Set you can escalate the value. Just open the TES Construction Set, load only the main Morrowind.esm, go to the Creature tab and search for the creeper there, double click on it and hit the "AI" button on the new window that poops out. In there you can alter the amount of drakes he has. I personally go for the 100.000 drakes mark because 99% of the Daedric weapons you'll find in the shrines (the best way to do money, unless you dare to rob the Hlaalu/Redoran/Telvany vaults in Vivec... wich is recomended!) can be sold for 20.000~90.000 drakes. Anyway, once you change the value, save/accept the changes, go to file, hit save, put the name you want and now you have an "something.esp" file floating in your game folder. After this you only need to execute the main Morrowind launcher, go to Data Files and activate that esm file. The most important thing is that, this does not screw your saves, so you can enable or disable this file anytime you want, and since it only has a dependency on the "Morrowind.esm" main file, you don't even need the expansions Tribunal and Bloodmoon for this esm to work. Oh, oh, oh: If you get tired with the overpopulation of Cliff Racers, you can alter their respawn, just go to the TES Construction Set, hit the Creature tab on top, double click on the Clif Racer and replace their respawn value (I don't remember the real name of the thing) from 75-ish vanilla to 100. Yes, the higher the number the less chance to respawn. Do this for EVERY single Clif Racer variant (they come in different levels), same as with the Creeper, save the file as "something2.esm", activate it thru Data Files and that is. Of course this WILL NOT remove the Cliff Racers from the game, it will just reduce their population, like... a LOT, but you'll still see tome of them flying around sometimes. HOWEVER, this file does make several changes to the game (aka is more intrusive), so it is BETTER if you apply it BEFORE starting a new game, otherwise you'll get some warnings and whatnot with the posibility of random crashes.

With Morrowind we accepted the bugs, because of how absurdly ambitious the game was. Youve played it, its massive in scope. Considering the time it was made, it was worth the bugs. We fixed most of them with mods. Doing this was a mistake in the long run, because now Bethesda games are just bugged to hell because they expect to be forgiven, and for us to fix them with mods. Which explains the problems Fallout 76 had, because we couldn't fix it for them. Hopefully, that was a wake-up call.

the only plugin worth using is the master poly propylene index or whatever the hell its called, as it gives you more teleport options particularly ones in the wilderness which is probably the most useful thing in this game.
