June 26 2022 and I just can't get enough. This performance is unbeatable. ILOILO DINAGYANG FESTIVAL the most awarded festival is the country. One and only.

naiiyak nmn ako sa galing nag performance ng dinagyang. i just imagine ang puyat at pagod nla just to give their best in every performance. my house is just near in one school here in iloilo na nagjojoin, 6 pm plng you can hear them practising until midnight nayon, at naiintindihan nmn ng mga taga dito bilang support sa dinagyang, im just so proud to be a ilonggo, very energitic and surprising ang performance, every year improving... thank you

GRABE! ANG GALING! SOBRANG GALING! Came here from a thread in twitter about the recent eclipse, where the author shared this story. Grabe ang yaman ng kultura natin! If only our own artists would incorporate these myths in their works the it wiuld get more attention and appreciation. Kinda like how kpop artists incorporates their own cultures myths to their concepts. Anyways, for some reason medyo naiiyak ako while watching this haha. I miss our vibrant celebrations during festivals, the energy, the excitement! This pandemic really prevented us from celebrating events such as this. Higit sa lahat nakakamiss yung pagsasama-sama ng mga tao celebrating our culture.

Still the best performance in Aliwan. Wala pa ring makakatalo sa performance na ito kahit pagsama-samahin lahat ng mga past winners. Ito ang pinakaperfect na performance sa lahat. Saktong-sakto lang ang props, malakas ang energy at napakaganda ng musical accompaniment plus ang lawak pa ng judging area tignan.

I. Love. It! This is way too good not to be seen on TV. I mean look! From costumes, to props, to drums, and the numbers of the people on the performance WOW! What more behind those curtains and the amount of the time they prepared!

Wow. This is the story i heard from my mom when i was a kid during solar eclipse. Storytelling+dancing+drum beats=Dinagyang. This is visual, musical, and cultural arts combined. Bravo!

Nung nag champion ulit ang dinagyang this 2023, I remembered 2013 Dinagyang and realized, no tribe in aliwan can come close to this Panayanon in 2013. Now in 2023, it was a close call between sinulog and Dinagyang.

marami pa ring mga festivals na hindi pa nakakapasok ng Aliwan dahil sa logistics.. May Lanzones Festival, Bonok Bonok, at saka ibat ibang Mindanaoan Festivals na maganda rin ang musicality. Dinagyang musicality is fit para sa kanilang choreography at story line, yung ibang festivals gaya ng Sinulog at saka yung nasa Mindanao iba rin ang style at musicality. Wag maging ignorante dahil di naman kasi dapat nagko compare ang mga festivals.. Good thing lang na mas madali ang logistics from Iloilo to Manila versus other festival gaya ng mga taga Mindanao. At yung mga magagaling na mga festivals from Visayas at Mindanao, sa SInulog pa rin nagkita kita kasi mas lower yung logistics at mas accessible. IF ALiwan was as near as Cebu from Mindanao or Leyte, baka dyan na talaga magkaalaman among all festivals from the Philippines...

How I wish MAYOR JED with the help of SEN DRILON & ATTY CATALBAS would build a DINAGYANG WAX MUSEUM & SOUVENIR SHOP in ILOILO CITY. This museum will also be the home of DINAGYANG's famous GIANT PROPS like the EAGLE, BAKUNAWA & ILONGANON's GIANT BEE. The souvenir shop should have the following items for sale to TOURISTS like TRIBAL SHIRTS, DINAGYANG WOOD FLUTE or DRUMS and MINIATURE items such as DINAGYANG WARRIOR, LIN-AY, STO NINO & MINIATURE PASSAD JEEPNEYS as well.
