I love how she not only styles the hair too look good but actually cares for the clients hair to make sure she doesn’t cause any damage to the clients natural hair ! If only all the stylist were like YOU MA’am ! 👍🏽🙌🏽👏🏽

She should have tightened them while her hair was dry... then washed it. Once it’s wet it’s easier to get tangled

I would like to see micro links done on 4c (non heat trained hair) using kinky curly hair. I have 4b/c hair and I want to try micro links using kinky curly hair if possible. I just do not know if it is feasable.Thank you.

Exactly. This technique is meant for STRAIGHT hair. When your kinky roots are separated by a tight band/link and then straight ends, you’re asking for breakage. If anything this should be worn for no more than 2 weeks (on clean flat ironed hair) and then taken out IMMEDIATELY; Not washed and tightened with a kinky root 😐.Everything is not for everyone, just like clothing, and people need to be ok with that and stop trying to follow every trend!

I'd really like to get micro links but in my city, they only have loose curls pattern, I want something that's close to my hair because I don't wanna have straight hair and keep on straighten my hair, but I really like the look of it

When you instal micro links, do you typically charge people for maintenance of it? If so, do you charge the same price as a new instal?

Yes I charge for maintenance and no it won’t be the same as install.

So is a lot of the weaving methods we do these days but it stop women from doing it sooo🤷🏽‍♀️ As for damage its only damaging if you’re flat ironing too often. If you don’t want to flat iron then simply get a pattern that matches your own simple💁🏽‍♀️

Absolutely NOT! I know some stylist do but that causes unnecessary tension on the clients hair

No but you definitely want to detangle it. Also braid it in a few french braids to allow your hair to air dry

No not if you get your links looked at regularly. Don’t skip on scheduling maintenance with your stylist

It can be if you over use the flat iron but the technique it self is not damaging if installed correctly. As for what’s damaging to your hair most things we do can cause damage🤷🏽‍♀️

It's just another term for heat damage. Straighten your hair regularly and or with less heat protectant and you hairs natural bonds will be weakened and less likely to curl back up.

It’s too heavy on the hair. The beads will hold up with no problem without being sewn down

there's hair out there that is different textures I've been looking online and saw a lot of different vendors...whether the hair is actually good quality I guess that's when looking for reviews plays a big part
