Thanks for sharing!! I like the neat look too, but I’m trying not to interlock too right because my scalp can be sensitive at times. How long have you had your locs?

My one year anniversary was in November. I never thought I would last this long as I love my wigs. I have 277 locs. Once I get to bra strap I'll keep it at that length. I do a two point rotation too. 😊

@@growqueen I never thought I would last this long either! I still wear a wig from time to time though, not sure if it’s detrimental to my locs or not. 😕

Watched this at work & found it interesting although your yawning made me yawn! 🫣Your hair is progressing nicely they’ll be so nice if you stick with them. I’m 4 years in next week & it was only at 2-3 years my locs blossomed the frizz reduced so they look more like micro braids & locs stopped marrying so much at the roots, they became more cylindrical & mailable so I stopped using conditioner unless I want hair to smell extra nice. I see we do same rotation & wrap loose hairs same way that’s good practice, but I advice you to try to incorporate the loose hairs at base of locs more before you do rotation as these new hairs as annoying as they can be are the foundation for the loc shaft, it’s possible to experience thinning if they aren’t incorporated. I found a 0.5 mm crochet hook helped keep them in place & I have experienced no thinning. Lastly check out KZfaqr Feneti she shows you everything about maintaining micro locs from year 0-4years. Hopefully I’ve imparted some good advice as I’m a fellow Brit from Midlands 😉 enjoy your journey 🙏🏾 btw I also have a son called Elijah 👍🏾

It’s so nice to get some advice from someone who has had locs for 4 years. I can’t wait to hit the 2 year mark, I’ve been feeling like my locs are stagnant at the moment but I guess I’ll see more changes as the years pass by. I’ll check out feneti out too!
