This is scary. And there are people in the comments who think these tests are bad and nothing like this could happen in real life. Imagine having it in the back pocket while riding a bike. Or having it in a bag full of other things. This is hazardous to say the least.

Micromax should definitely improve build quality. But in daily use we don't apply this much pressure on phones intensionaly. We purchase it with our hard earned money and use it carefully. This can happen with any smartphone. We've seen many OnePlus , Redmi , Oppo , Samsung phone catching fire without any pressure.

Yeah it needs to get better build quality but they probably had to go for some low quality parts to give such a great phone in that price. And It has a premium glass back so it's weaker than others,plastic back is stronger than glass back. And in glass phones everyone is gonna use phone covers anyway,otherwise they might add some scratches.

Please try to keep your balcony door open and have one fire extinguisher so that if similar situation arrives, you will be ready. Phones ka pata nahi aajkal koi bhi phone battery phat sakti hain. 2 things Guptaji… 1. Wear gloves while you are doing hardware testing.. to avoid shards or accidental burns.. 2. Keep fire extinguisher handy to avoid these kind of incidents.. Just a thought for safety..

Nahin bhaiyya, aise na bolo. Phone behadd acchi hain. Specs sabke zaroorathon ke liye daalein gayein hein. AMOLED Display, Decent Cameras, Glass Back, Good Design, acchi Processor Gaming keliye, Stock Android, Aur kya chayye, Waise keheneko toh Iphone 6 bi Bend mein fail hua tha, magar sabse zyaada bika tha. Redmi Note 7 Pro bi, bahuth bika. Micromax nein issbar dil jeet liya hain.

Guptaji, in all plastics moulding resin, catalyst, fillers are used are used to form a part. For fillers normally glass and talc are used. Higher the glass improves tensile strength and flexural strength (in engineering we call it as modulus of rupture). If talc % is more it improves tensile strength and worsens flexural strength. In this case it is evident either talc is more or homogeneity not maintained. That is why when you scrape we can see white powder thing and failed in bend test. This is a possibile tech reason. But, i droped phone twice just 1 hour after receiving. Nothing happened. If my analysis is right in your drop test in note 2 should pass up to chest level. While holding at hand I feel it very tough and premium...

Bend test is not practicle and just see how much force he applied. Kya bhai aap apne phone ko iss tarike se modte ho. Ofcourse nahi tabbhi aur battery blast nahi hui electrodes aapas touch ho gye the jab phone tuta tha aur table me rakha tha uske baad jaha phone ko dekhne ki kosish ki usi samay metal piece dono electrode se touch ho gya aur dhua nikla aur agar phone ke battery part ko tod ker alag rakh dete to kuch nahi hota.

But to be on the safer side, U can buy a hard armor case if the person buying this is a paranoiac. Excellent specs. A Great SOC + Best in class Screen + Stock Android + Glass Build are more than enough reasons to buy this phone. Durability on the other hand wil lbe good for daily use as long as a user knows to take care of their handsets, Even If I had a Samsung S21 Ultra on my hand, I wudnt dare to just chug a bend test on it. XD I wud rock a hard armor case even on the most durable phone on the planet. Not taking any chances.

You're doing a really good work.. giving proper hardware and build quality review, which people/ tech reviewers rarely do. And thus gives a second thought before buying But I was always scared of something like this in the bend test. Sir I'll suggest u to cover ur hands during the test with rubber gloves or anything. I'll also suggest to pls tell abt the performing condition of the phones u review, next day. if u can just add a short clip during ur overall editing. 😊

I also give more preference to non Chinese phones.. like micromax, moto, Samsung over those phones like One plus. But the thing here is Micromax should improve their build quality like they did in recent times & in customer service too. 👍

I see many people saying durability tests don't matter and I might agree that if you are using a cover and screen guard you should be good to go. But such a structural flaw is not acceptable. What if someone accidentally sits on it. I don't think it would survive.
