Detroit Lions news has Colin Cowherd believing Jared Goff is better than the media gives him credit for.
"The headline says, 'Well where does that leave Dak Prescott and the Cowboys?' Well, I don't know, those are two different conversations. Because Jared Goff's a much better quarterback than Dak Prescott," Cowherd said. "Jared Goff's been to a Super Bowl and to two NFC Championships and in the same conference. ... Goff's done it with two head coaches, multiple coordinators, two rosters, two different divisions. Goff's a much better thrower of the football. Goff's contract extension should not look like Dak's, because they're not the same player. In fact, I would argue that as Goff has become a steady veteran, he's progressed in his career, he's actually gotten better in the playoffs."

I Don't think so. Yes Hooker being put in the game would throw off the defense initially but that would not last. Just like Hill in N.O.

Hooker is such a talent. I don't know how you don't scheme for him now that he's healthy. Put him and Goff in the backfield on a 4th and short and watch defenses try to figure that sh@t out!

Over the last week or so the Lions fan base and content creators were all saying the Lions were going to have to trade Hooker. I said that Ben Johnson would find a way to implement Hooker to this offense. Every one said that it was the worst take ever and that it was idiodic to think that would happen. Now Twentyman says the same thing that I said and now it makes sense?? Lol..Trust me, he will play during the season and it will not necessarily have to be because of an injury. He could definitely stretch the field in ways Goff can't against certain teams. Goffs not worried about his job because he just signed his deal. Hooker will add another dimension to the team that defenses will have to prepare for, it'll be like playing against two different teams in the same game!!!

Quintin was very good at contested catches and Stafford was excellent at throwing for jump balls. So yea we should resign Quintin forthwith. Then we can trade him to the Rams for two firsts and a third. LOL 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

It's gotten to the point where it's a little cultish the lions are going to have a much harder road this year run the same stuff for 2 years in the league figures it out and Detroit's out of options cuz that's all Goff can do is throw over the middle!

I do know about better than Hurts but the others yes I’d say same level as J Hurts as the pros cons of each balance out !!

4 -7. Really hard to judge, put that into specific categories/proven stats overtime / not injured off and on frequently. But you have to agree, at this point in his career, the guy stays healthy, and produces. That's extremely hard to do in the NFL, in both/all😮 categories. So maybe, I might be wrong. Maybe you should move him up two spots. Can't argue with proof that's in pudding! Just saying😮.

I'm a life-long, LONG-SUFFERING Lion fan. I'm so old, I REMEMBER the '57 title game. There's one thing I remember from that era that is important: don't base EVERYTHING on stats. With that in mind, I urge you to look at Bobby Layne's TD PASSES/ INTERCEPTIONS record. This is a Hall of Fame guy, yet he was prone to interceptions. Yet, he was THE 2-minute drill guy with the game on the line. That being said, I hope you're right that Goff is better than Purdy. But Purdy brought the 49ers back in the NFC title game, a la Bobby Layne. Don't get me wrong, I really LIKE Jared Goff, but when the Lions and Niners play in Week 17, Jared has to hang a W.

I might be wrong but JLO had it easy last year. Weak teams ( mostly) The starting QBs we’re injured on many games and when they had a difficult game it was at home. I do realize the Dallas game was in Dallas but that’s about it. ( a minor sophomore slump). They will have to play more difficult games also.

Right now Mahomes is the only QB id take over Goff, on this team. As far as Hooker lets allow him to play in the preseason. Hookers has a fulltime job as he must act as if hes going to play at ALL times.
