When I was in Berlin a little over a month ago, there were almost no games on the shelves in the electronics stores. However, they were fully stocked in Kraków. I’m not sure where the gaming culture is like in Germany versus Poland, but just game and console stock alone was a big difference.

Hmmmmm makes no sense to me. Yes they dont sell well but PS5 isnt selling great in Germany, too. The only console which is selling good is the switch here.... And if MS wants to expand with gamepath they have to sell consoles, or cooperate with other companys to make a "new" console? Cloud gaming still sucks here because of slow internet connections....

IF they get rid of Xbox its so so so stupid. So many People who are Not PC Savvy don't have the ability to fix a computer of fix files and so on. The Xbox OS is very reliable and hassle free for people who are now parents like me. A month ago, I had network issues for about 2 days and it wouldn't let me play digital games I bought or from Game Pass.... Even though I had set my Xbox as my home Xbox.

Maybe one of the reasons they are struggling with console sales in Europe is not marketing but price. For example, the price of Series X in UK is £700 which is around half of a monthly salary, then You go to another country and it costs 3.600 a whole month salary. Would You think about getting a new console when you don't know if You have enough money to pay rent, buy food and pay the bills? They want to make money on Price and not the amount of sales.

Well Microsoft said you won't even need a console. There's a Xbox fire stick and get a controller and you can just stream games to your TV.

It's funny how the Xbox higher ups are soo quick to fire talented game devs and staff when really it's the higher ups that should be fired . If Xbox was smart they would hire some young blood Gamers in touch with gaming. And they should have never spent 75 BILLION Dollars on Activision just so they can own COD . Never put all your eggs in one basket . They could have budgeted less than a 1/4 of that money and found new unheard of talent, new ideas , new IPs when Xbox obtained Bungie , they were working out of their apartment and look at what Halo did for Xbox back in the day. The higher ups are not in touch with gamers at all and they are turning more and more anti consumer . It's a shame too because in terms of hardware the Series X is the most bad ass Xbox ever made but unfortunately it's not being utilized like it should. 6th , 7th and 8th generation of consoles I always made sure to buy a Xbox first and then Playstation later on after prices drop . But this generation the 9th gen , I invested in Playstation 5 first . Reason being the Playstation can play all the same 3rd party games that the Xbox can plus I have access to Playstation's exclusive library ( Ghost Of Tsushima, Spider-Man, GOW etc etc ) but there is little to no Xbox exclusives to play on Xbox these days .

Stop saying your digital games, you do not own digital games.

It's not hard to wonder why sales are struggling for the Xbox Series X or the Discs you can purchase. Firstly the 2 other options of Xbox Console are digital and secondly "Game Pass". If Microsoft never came up with Game Pass then Game sales would go up, but who knows whether we will ever go back to that because so many games, especially Multiplayer ones are loaded with Microtransactions. I wouldn't even consider the content you can purchase in games Microtransactions anymore considering they cost around 1/3 to half of the cost of a new AAA Standard issue game.

Stop second Guessing yourself. They are gonna switch to online services because we have run out of room with Consoles. Cloud gaming means more storage for updates and it's become somewhat convenient for me.

If this the case then that's on xbox. Sales are down because of the lack of good games with no glitches. No one is going to buy a console while the games are glitchy or not available.

7/15/24 The only thing I see Xbox live is doing well is releasing the Xbox, Xbox360 games and PC consoles game backward or retro games that is now available at reasonable price with lots of value that might included 3 for 1 games like Doom, Quake along with new levels and better graphics. I enjoy playing again classic games that I haven't played for a few year and share now with a new generation of Gamer now for Xbox One or Xbox X/S since Xbox360 support is dropping. Now you can play the Star Wars series of single player and online group play. Having Jimmy back on your videos with the back and forth banter has helped to make your vids more interesting, keep Jimmy coming back please.

Well, you see I don’t play any online games at all, and my Xbox is always set to off-line I don’t get any spam messages ever. To clarify by online games I mean, multiplayer online. Yes I play server games.

Been a ps guy my whole life . Ps 2 ps3 ps4 and then i switched to xbox due to a good trade on your ps4 and get £150 off the new xbox. I love my xbox mainly due to the value of game pass.. Its a good console, and it sucks to think, maybe i should have invested into ps5..i have so many ps 2,3 disks.. and then i had half my games on disk and half diskless on my ps4. Just grabbing the best deal. I feel if they give up on xbox as a console, id feel cheated, and to me it feels like for no reason.

I’m on my second series X I’ve had so many issues with the series X I’m actually selling mine. I’ve had enough. I’ve still got my original series S, which I’m going back to that for casual gaming… I’m even thinking can’t believe it. I’m getting a PS5 or just invest in a decent PC…

Let me tell you why Xbox is not selling well... I live in Serbia, Europe. I see Series X in US stores for 499 bucks, with US standard of living, and then go to buy one in Serbian stores, and have to buy it for 1000 bucks. And a word on Serbian standard, the average Serbian gets 450 bucks for a month of work. There we go, that's it. Prove me wrong.

I personally don't like exclusives for consoles especially if you have a situation where one person really likes a specific game but can't play it either cause the have the wrong console or just can't afford a new console, I personally would like if Xbox would port more of those exclusives to PlayStation as it gives more people options to play other games on cross-platform

Im playing my 360 these days...that should say something. Idk man. Gaming in and of itself peaked a little back then for some strange reason. Nothing slaps the same way it did before. Even my little nephews dont find gaming that much of a gimmick. Sad and strange times.

I'm a guy that's owned every Xbox console at one point or another, but after waiting for good 1st party games for all of the Xbox one lifetime up to now (with few exceptions) I'm getting worn out with it all. Plus now that the big games we've been waiting on forever are right around the corner, we find out about their huge push for dei. Then we read the (dick)heads requesting that females in Xbox games need to be explicitly unattractive with mustaches (think Alyssa Mercante), I'm almost expecting them to announce the retirement of the whole console division. At least then we could buy a PS6 and add gamepass to it. LOL

Probably down to the build quality. Have had one for 2 years hand on my 5th controlller. Ps5 from the same time is still on the same controller. The material on the console is awful and its a pain to maintain/clean the console properly.

Make it to where the subscription is $80 a year with game pass included. Stop buying 3rd party dev companies. Hire some 1st party devs that have ideas of making games more immersive, enjoyable, co-op, packed with activities or a long expansive campaign and let them lead the creation. Buying 3rd party companies doesn’t mean a company is great if the company is still spitting out games that are partially good and full of in game purchases. It’s crazy how games are getting more and more alike, same scheme, just different skins and in game currency

If you want an Xbox now days the one thing Microsoft seems to want you to do is buy an Xbox one through series and get game pass, their not worried about making new systems because they have enough old that can run just about anything even if it doesn’t run good.

Slow down ads when they never even started? In Africa i think only South Africa, if not, there are at most 3 countries with xbox live. They never even began trying to sell them here. They got no interest. Playstation can afford not to do much advertising here because it got word of mouth. PlayStation is synonymous with gaming around these parts.

Xbox division never altered their course with console non-exclusives leaves a bad taste in many gamers mouth, plus marketing their entire games roster on the PC results in a NO MOTIVATION towards sales of Xbox console. Multi architecture consoles isn't a great business model (s/x) either.

It is only normal that this happens . Advertisement is not enough, why buying games if Gamepass exists and why should someone buy console, if he has Game pass and can play without a console through an app or now firestick. To sell consoles and games, you have to make them essential and attractive, so customers buy it.

What microsoft SHOULD do is design new gaming laptops that are on par or exceed console counterparts. Then just use that. Then it's like nintendo switch but with a laptop instead of a mobile console lol. They could find a way to make prices comparable between hardware and give hardware that fits well with their software. Ditch the xbox and use it to boost windows userbase and grow the gaming dominance. :)

I'm gonna just say it " game pass stinks". They jacked the price, no first day games and their library is crammed full of indie/ kid games . I guess after RD2 there wasn't anything that kept my attention so I dropped the subscription.

The rumor is not even need it, sales on Europe have been abysmal. Outside of North America XB is completely demolished by PS in console sales all over the world. Phil, Sarah or Matt can say whatever they want about not giving up on XB Consoles, but their acts speak louder, every single decision they take end up hurting their own console, throwing XB Series under the bus.

The console is good but you have to have a good game on it to play, the exclusive is great, but we should have games that can compete with some on playstation
