Thank you Ted! Agreed, we debated if people already knew Data Factory and Self Hosted Integration Runtime well enough that we could skip straight to the connectors, but we figured more content was better than less.

Thanks, Brad, it is quite an informational video, i there a way to use Data Factory within Microsoft Fabrick to connect to SQL server 2022 VM, the only option I see there is Dataflow Gen2, would be helpful if you could advise if I use Data Factory outside Fabric vs inside Fabric, How much difference would it add to the compute cost?

Hi @nicksham9200 , per Brad "This is coming and a part of the public roadmap. As soon as this lands, the very week it goes live, we WILL be doing a video on that functionality! But as of right now, if you need to forklift data into Microsoft Fabric from On Premise using a Self Hosted Integration Runtime, aka SHIR, this is how you can perform this. Thank you for the question sir!"

Hi, Thanks for great video! I have a question about linked service for Fabric, it started minutes 3:28, how you create it? what was that braball-msftfabric ?

Hi @babakbarzegari9228 per Bradley, "Sorry it took so long to get back you you @babakbarzegari9228 ! That was the Service Principal that I had created. You have to create an Azure Entra ID Service Principal in order to add it to the Microsoft Fabric Workspace and then you can use that to create the linked service in Azure Data Factory to the Microsoft Fabric Workspace. I hope this helps. Here's a tutorial on creating a Service Princiapl : jiasli.github.io/azure-notes/aad/Service-Principal-portal.html "

@Tales-from-the-Field2 ай бұрын
