I remember back when I had gotten my first-ever computer back in 2006, when the internet was still getting started. I was around 6 at that time. And one online game at that time was responsible for my young curious nature; *Roblox.* One of the first Roblox games I ever played was Rocketgamer10's "Survive a Train Crash Down a Waterfall!!!" Eventually, later in 2010... I found my way to KZfaq. I saw a bunch of videos that were made with "Unregistered HyperCam 2." It was mostly Roblox gameplay, Speakonia stuff...and even Angry German Kid. Damn, now I feel old. Don't you ever wish we could return to the glory days? Because I certainly do!

This is something to sink in actually. This is 1999. The text to speech sounds really great for a 1990's technology. Yes, it does sound riddiculous, but this was the best thing to have at that time.
@NatiiixLP10 ай бұрын
How exactly is this 1999? The video was uploaded at the end of 2011. Even the description clearly states it was recorded on Windows 2000, which was not released until February 2000. It was recorded using HyperCam 2, which was not released until late April 2004. Arguably, much of Windows 11's code is 90's technology, or even 80's frankly, so I don't see how any of this is impressive or even interesting. Stephen Hawking used a much more primitive speech synthesis software from a far more ancient era, yet he was able to deliver perfectly coherent lectures in the early 90's. This technology wouldn't have been considered impressive even then, much less in the 00's. The Windows TTS was never not a meme, at least for people with no vision impairment condition.
@_-TC10 ай бұрын
@@NatiiixLP Ah yes, let me write an essay on how nothing in this world is interesting and how we should take everything for granted. This was definitely not interesting and impressive in an age where we were barely stepping down from floppy drives, oh no! If anything, if we were to introduce todays AI simulations, but in 1999, NOBODY would be impressed, it's child's play! By the way guys, ACKTHUALLY, did I mentiont that was recorded in 2000??? And not 1999? THAT IS A MAJOR FLAW THAT REQUIRES POINTING OUT!

That was the last we ever heard of Sam. Some say a sniper shot him from a mile away, some say his Roflcopter ran out of fuel and he crash landed, others say he was visited by an extraplanar being that put him into stasis until his hour of need was at its most dire. All we know for sure is hes gone, and we must keep fighting the enemy jeeps until his return.
