Hello WinExp!,
New Microsoft eats a lot of old fashions including free DVD playback. In this case, you can digitize your old DVDs to MP4 for free: bit.ly/3rouJro
After 3-years existing of my first video on Windows Expert, I decided to make an updated video of the 2016 video.
There is nothing new about an operating system. But now I've got more edit skills.
In this video, I will only use Windows editions.
Not the server family-like Windows NT 4.0 or Windows Server 2019.
These editions I used in this video:
- Windows 1.0 (1985)
- Windows 2.0 (1987)
- Windows 3.0 (1990)
- Windows 3.1 (1992)
- Windows 95 (1995)
- Windows 98 (1998)
- Windows ME (2000)
- Windows XP (2001)
- Windows Vista (2007)
- Windows 7 (2009)
- Windows 8 (2012)
- Windows 8.1 (2013)
- Windows 10 (2015)
I'll make another video about the Server Family and about that a history video! It seems lovely!

I am pretty sure after windows Vista the power on sounds are the same, you might just be confused with the login sounds, many people mix the windows 8-10 login sound for the startup. That might just be newer versions, though.

The Windows 8, 8.1, and 10 startup sounds all use Windows Vista/7 startup sound (they don’t have a shutdown sound tho)

The first Windows version that I used was 3.11. Later it was NT4, 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, Server 2008, Win 7, Win 8, Win 8.1 and now I use Win 10. My favorites were 98, XP and 7. Kinda loved Vista too when the SP2 was released.

Windows 3.0 I used as a student, before the internet arrived, with Word Perfect and 123. It worked well with 16Mb of RAM, just a task switching feature, but I didn’t really need much more. I go onto the internet which a 56k modem card, the days of simplicity!

I remember having a family computer back when windows 3.1 was widely available. I still think windows XP was the best system that Microsoft released. However Windows 10 is the most dominant system there is to this day.

@@Lerod_Driger Yes but you can't do the things you do in WIndows specially in the business world. You can't run games in linux, you can't run Autocad and many other heavy stuff.

@@topsyturvyy4558 you do have a point there. Windows is so common that everyone uses it. But you can with additional software for Linux you can run most Windows apps under an environment called wine for Linux. That will help out alot.

I always had the latest Windows version, and I'd say Windows Vista wasn't that bad. It even upgraded system restore to back up personal documents as well.

Microsoft has no further plans to make a new windows operating system, as far as we know. They might end support for all existing updates Microsoft has put into Windows 10. Who knows! They might make Windows 10.1!

It is still fine to use Windows operating systems that are not Supported as long as you’re not stupid I use windows 10 but I guess it would be nice to do a but it with an old operating system to play old games
