I have a business with a gmail account. How can I send merged emails through gmail using ms word? Is this possible? Thanks for the video!

+AdlerDesign Don't think it is possible to send out batch emails in Word Mail Merge. There might be some adds that might do it.

there is no feature to attach files in mail merge! the only way to send a file might be to upload the file to Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive; share the file and email the link. Or you could by this addon www.mapilab.com/outlook/mail_merge/

I have not tested it, but it should technically work with whatever is set as your default mail app.

Not sure, there is delay delivery in Outlook, but it does not apply to Mail Merge messages.

+Amir Parmar I laid out a newsletter with multiple layered images and text boxes in Word...everything looks great until I start the mail merge process. Then everything rearranges, shifts & separates and I can no longer layer anything on top of each other. I checked the HTML setting. My tests look the same as the preview in mail merge. When you did your test flyer...you didn't have any shifting of images or text boxes? Is there a way to "lock" the design? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for getting back to me.

+Kelly Pahlen I tested with a Flyer template found within Microsoft Word from File - New. What they did in this flyer is to create Table and use the Cells to add the Images. Hi Sally, if you go to File - Options (in Outlook), go to the MAIL and scroll down to the section on "Tracking" and you can put a check mark for "Delivery" you can also Check "read receipt" in this place.

GCA PTSO Secretary The process shown in this video applies to sending out emails with text in it, with customized names/address etc. You could copy and paste the content of the pdf in the Mail Merge letter. however, if you want to send out a PDF attachment, there is no provision within Word Mail merge to do so. One easy alternative would be to upload the PDF file (if everyone receives the same file) to a Cloud service like Google drive or OneDrive and share the file, now you can place the link to the PDF in the mail merge letter. Another alternative would be to use some plugins that will add more functionality to Microsoft Word's mail merge. You will see the link in the description of the video. Hope this helps.

You just create an excel file with Headings in the Column like First Name etc and fill up the data, save it. Now when the Wizard is asking for Data Source; point it to this excel file. If you created from scratch, there is file in the My documents - Data Source folder. You can open that file and enter the List there too, it opens in Microsoft Access.

In terms of possibilities, it is always possible. The Mail Merge feature does not support Attachments, but there is a add-on that allows for attachment. Now the only thing is to figure out a mechanism to Attach individual PDF. This can achieved by having a Cell Column which has the full Path to the file. You can give files name to match the name of employees. This way you will be able to use the add-on. See the link for add-on and 2nd link has a video.
