I am trying to use GPT4 on a daily basis for medical research, just identifying articles that meet some general criteria, and list basical medical facts. It fails almost every time. It looks convincing, but it is wrong. Not 100% wrong, but wrong enough that it does not actually progress my work. If I feed it abstracts from articles it can read them really fast and answer questions, so that is great, and time saving. Problem is that I have to read the abstracts as well to see if it is wrong. I also use GPT4 to help me DM tabletop RPG games. For that, it is truly amazing. It doesn’t matter if it is precise, it has to be creative, evocative, and give my setting nuances. It will change tabletop RPG gaming, that is for sure.

GPT-4 passed the United States Medical Licensing Exam with flying colors. I’m not trying to doubt you, but are you sure you don’t have any issues with your prompts? I would be very surprised to see GPT-4 perform that badly, every time. (Btw just confirming you’re sure that you’re using GPT-4, and not 3.5. You have to select the model you want at the top. Just checking.)

@@therainman7777 using GPT4. I am asking it for articles that for example link metformin and changes in SHBG. It gets some right, but starts halucinating, getting facts wrong. It is great for standard jobs, or things that can be creative or loose. But this is analysis of the entire body of medical research, it is not there yet.

on a different note, GPT-4 gets a middle school math word problem wrong when just prompting it to solve it, however, asking it to solve it step-by-step before answering works.

Anyone who is complaining about the title needs to learn how youtube works. I didn't even read "shocks the entire industry", but I'm sure the video wouldn't have popped up on my feed if the phrase wasn't in the title. The title is not particularly misleading, but it helps the content creator get the video out.

At the first moment in the video, when he mentioned model selection, I thought that Jarvis involves the AI being able to select models that will be able train itself or train new data automatically and correctly without any human supervision. That will put all ML jobs and the ML community, including Microsoft out of commission. It will be become a frightening beginning of sentience
