For anyone born in the late 90s or 00s watching, yes, almost every commercial was for landline phone service. That's what we lived with.

Especially all those “10-10” commercials circa 1999.

The 90s aged and now looks old like the 70s. I remember feeling like the 90s was modern, new and technologically advanced. Amazing how the video technology looks vintage.
@circleinforthecube5170 Жыл бұрын
the 90s were pretty advanced, late 90s is when computers entered the current form they are today (OS wise and seperate tower/keyboard/monitor) and cars were sleeker then they are today, also architecture from that era still looks very appealing but 70s architecture also looks nice which the 2010s/2020s dont have that luxury of nice looking buildings

This was recorded on VHS and has clearly disintegrated over the years, resulting in bad audio and video. TV didn't look and sound like this back then. It was definitely a different quality level, but this is like a double whammy.

It was advanced compared to the 70’s and 80’s. The 90’s and 2000’s is the decade with the most technologically advancement and the reason we have what we have today

I don't know how I ended up here at 5am but it reminded me of being a little kid watching daytime TV with my mom, dad and grandma. Dad and grandma have both passed on, so it is nice to return briefly to a simpler time when Dad was young and Granny was still with us. Thanks for posting these
@mrm6410 ай бұрын
I teared up reading this lol. My great Granny was still alive with us and my sis and I would stay at her house during summer time. We'd watch these commercials on her TV all the time...and now I'll be 30 in March. My God time just keeps going...

@ultrameticulous4 ай бұрын
It is way better than that Taurus and there is massive appeal in the simplicity, efficiency, and reliability of the Tercel. It wasn't bloated with unnecessary comforts and impossible to work on.

The way the internet remembers the 90s is nothing what the 90s was actually like. Watching this gives you a much better idea of what it was like.

the wildest thing is how alot of the "luxury cars" of the 90s are some of the oldest looking cars on the road now...they are so boxy and awkward but also weirdly cute?
@circleinforthecube5170 Жыл бұрын
they look nicer than modern cars
@lowmax443110 ай бұрын
Trust me though the Toyota Tercel was not a luxury car by any means. I had a 97 tercel around 2010-2013. That thing was so slow and rusted right out.

Lol I know right...they weren't popular in the late 90s at all ..I remember in maybe 1992 they were popular. I had a teacher in the 6th grade who loved them and thought they were awesome...he would talk about them all the time. I think the guy had an awesome voice and that one song he was famous for was really good..it was on the radio all the time..can't think of the name something about the years going by

It's just different. There were always horrible things going on. People who say a certain decade was better are just idealizing their youth. It's always the time when they were young and had the least responsibility.
