This is most likely because your usb drive is too small, I would not recommend installing windows on less than supported space but if you are trying to install a version like tiny7, this is how you do it. Right click on your WINTOUSB icon on desktop, and click open file location. It will take you to the bin folder in the wintousb install. Now right click on WinToUSB.ini, go to open with, and select notepad. Go to MinimumVHDSize and it will most likely say something like =16 edit that to whatever the size of your usb is and save notepad may prompt you to resave the file so do that. After that, open WINTOUSB and it sould work, I am sorry that I am a little late, but I hope this helped, thank you -Aidan

@@crazypets1729 hi, sorry I didn't see your response earlier. I have not tried it with a sata to USB adapter, but it should be fine also. You can install it on any hdd or ssd that is connected via USB to a pc or laptop. Mine still works fine I installed it on a 256Gb SSD and boots up in seconds

Amazing, exceptionally clearly explained. Sincere appreciation I've never watched a KZfaq video that was so explicative and straightforward.🌺💚

I am super impressed by how my Sandisk Cruiser glide handles this so smoothly, it’s only 32 gb and I don’t think I was meant to be fast

Thanks for the tutorial. I couldn't select anything at the "please select the efi system partition" step and couldn't proceed. The solution was to create a second, smaller partition on the same disk in FAT32 format.

Works great. Thanks for the recommendation and tutorial. I installed Windows 10 x64 on a Sandisk SSD Plus 128GB for a HP Stream 11". The eMMC failed and BIOS could not access the original OS on that drive for whatever reason. Booted into Windows just like normal. (Windows 10 Home 64-bit version 1903, with free installer software)

How do you do?
@garrickcrouch45305 жыл бұрын
@@adamrenns It is easy. Follow his instructions. Use the free software and windows creation tool. Use your good computer to load Windows 10 ISO onto SSD via USB. Put SSD in an external tray and plug into USB port. Tell BIOS to boot from USB port.
