Astralis won a full eco against MIBR at the IEM Katowice Major setting themselves up with a huge amount of cash for the rest of the half, ensuring MIBR don't win a singe round after that.

Dupreeh misclicks accidentally the entire community: he did that shot to bait out one player that force rotates another player onto B site which creates only 1 player on a site so that the last player can get an entry frag

that would be op if he did it and it actually worked. like if someone needs to get past an enemy and their teammate shoots, alerting an enemy guarding site to move in on him, making another enemy rotate to site to guard, giving the original guy time to move

Nah, the plan is for him to kill taco and he and magisk would get an ak and they both now take mid control and hold mibr to playing t ramp or pushing banana just like they did anyway. But that's the best case scenario

Astralis had a bit of luck on their side imo. Taco missed magisk coming out of the gutter by a second, coldzera was planting the bomb in the open. But they showed great presence of mind to boost xyp9x up to get the kill on coldzera seeing that the time was low on the clock.

@@Sujay95 Of course luck plays a role, it always does. But a good gameplan is an attempt to nudge luck into your favor. And that's what Astralis excels at, particularly on inferno. It seems they have a plan for every scenario and often make even unfortunate events, like an early pick, work in their favor.

@@swapode Yeah I liked the fact that they didn't just throw the round just because it was a full eco but pushed to get something out of it. Not many teams have that elite mentality. Astralis is probably the only one rn. Fortune favors the brave.

People who say Astralis plays boring CS has a very poor grasp on the game. Their tactics, teamwork and decisionmaking is what makes them so formidable.

Zel The Viking I mean, you’re not wrong, but at the same time I can’t agree with your argument. In my opinion, astralis is my favourite team but regardless I rarely watch their games due to finding them not “Boring” but one-sided if that makes any sense. I believe what people mean with “Boring CS” is in fact just “Too Dominant” At least back during the earlier stages of CS:GO there was always a formidable opponent, an “Immovable object” for each “unstoppable force”, I hope my opinion shed some light on things >_

@@KeiwaM Only difference is the roster is changed since then. And people learn & do progress. Sure it will and has to come to an end at some point, but it wont be by choking, people wake up and realise the work they need to put in. Astralis opened up for a new pro scene of CS.. 2 Majors from now, Astralis will have a hard time :)

This right here shows the beauty of CS. An eco, where teams usually don't have that much of a plan, just discuss your options and stuff. But Astralis has a plan for ecos as well, taking those risks to see if the pay off, and in this case they absolutely did. One bit of feedback I'd like to give: maybe it'd be nice if you showed us the entire round until the end before analysing it.

Yep he spammed walls hoping to get something. Knowing astralis would be saving and hoping they dont buy armor. If you do this in a pub game, you'd be labeled a hacker.

I think this is going to be a good meta. If you know your opponents are on eco, you should drain the bullets until you have one mag left. With that, even if you got killed, your enemies will be left with less bullets and your team can push them knowing that the rifle picked up can only kill 1.

Pro's can kill people with an ak reliably with less than 11 bullets.

@@mega4488 if you read what i said, i explained that if you die (or the entry fragger for most cases) your team can push confidently knowing the enemy who picked up the weapon with less bullets can only kill one or two. He can't even spray down because he will conserve ammo. Not all pros can do one taps. Even Niko, ScreaM, S1mple cannot do one taps every round.

The last moments in the round was definitely gla1ve's callings, he called for the boost, he called Magisk to kill the planter as the info came in. Just a great IGL.

my guess is he didnt want to plant in an area magisk could take both fallen and cold out if he pushed while cold was planting.

That is incorrect. Fallen made the mistake of covering the wrong angle. Cold should have planted behind fountain because Felps had ruins and Fallen should have covered CT. But hindsight is always 20/20.

@@mukeka1337 But when Felps has ruins, why would FalleN watch CT, knowing there is a threat from Banana with an AK? In this case, you have to prioritize, the likelyhood of someone walking through a smoke is low and mibr simply wasn't expecting a peak over the smoke like that.

@Marcus Fanning the thing is, Astralis aren't passive. they're aggressive only when they need/have to. if you're looking for highlight reels, watch replay VODs or watch FPL. if you want wins, watch Astralis.
