I am constantly in awe of how perceptive you are! I feel like you have just put words to something I have been struggling with for so long. For years and years I would make lists of things I needed to do like cook, walks, meditate on and on and on and be so fucking frustrated when I would just fall short. MINDSET SHIFT IS EVERYTHING. Love u jenny sweet angel.

Great reflections, 100% with you on the water-drinking situation. I realise its such a baseline expectation for so many people but I really have to remember to do it every day!

This got me to pause mid way through the video (don’t you worry I came back and finished it !) and look back at my 2023 new year intentions and give myself a lil check in. You inspire me to work on myself more deeply 💛 One of my “intentions” this year was to “consume content that makes you feel good” and your channel is 1000% on that list

i'm so excited for language intimate !! i love the idea of 'offerings' and having a more free form concept of a brand / exhibition. it's so nice to have people innovating and actively building a community online, especially one surrounding inner work 💌so proud of u jenny and can't wait to see what's in store in the future ❣❣

I feel you on the taking myself seriously part of your life experience. Trying to work on that and in general playing a less passive role in my life and holding more accountability for myself and others.

Hey Jenny! Cool video! The section on "looking for freedom in the wrong places" made me think a lot about this concept in political philosophy: negative liberty versus positive liberty. Where negative liberty is freedom FROM something, positive liberty is freedom TO act/speak/mobilize, etc. In other words, it's one thing to be free from constraints, but the freedom to act or make something anew is a deeper, more meaningful freedom. I feel like that aligns with what you were describing: mistaking lack of rules or boundaries for freedom, when true freedom comes from the ability to change things, to do things, etc. Anyhow, these are just some thoughts! I've long enjoyed your videos and wish you all the best!

i really like the switch from taking life too seriously to taking yourself seriously. hearing that really made things click for me and everything you said resonates with me. my routine and how think about structure is something i’ve been actively working on changing my perspective on bc i can now see how structure creates freedom. how are some of the ways that you hold yourself accountable for staying on top of your routines? i really love your videos and they always come at just the right time! thank you for sharing your life and experiences!

Loved and resonated with the themes you discussed in this one. Made me think about how we always say "treat others the way you want to be treated" but how it's equally as important to treat yourself the way you want others to treat you ♥️

Just wanted to thank you for getting so honest l and creating this video. I’ve felt so tangled with my own life lately, and really haven’t been able to figure out what the route cause is. Or any way to seem to rise above the feeling. maybe if I actually start taking myself seriously. For once. And life a little less.

Walking changed my anxiety too. I've had a really rough year, with a big change in location and some traumatic moments. From dire circumstances I had to live in a single room with my mom and sister and the only sanity that I had was going for a walk everyday. I can just put in a podcast (To Be Magnetic has amazing ones to figure out your own deeper wounds) and just walk for like an hour, or I'd call someone and that passed the time too. Or just walking in silent. There's something about it that really helps.

Guided walking meditations are also sooo nice! I don’t mediate often (right now..would like to add more in) but I find a walking guided meditation to be so therapeutic and a little easier than just sitting still and meditating. I use the app insight timer but I’m sure there are tons of options out there 💛

I really need to take note… going to bed earlier, going for walks in the mornings, having a structure to get the necessary tasks done first in the day… I am so adrift and so overwhelmed in my mind… I really need to implement these things you mentioned.

at first i didnt get the “taking myself more seriously so i can take life less seriously comment” until after. ive been feeling the same way and struggling w it for some time now. constantly craving freedom and fun, so i dont give myself routine so as not to “constrain” or make myself feel stuck. but, as im navigating w no routine, i dont feel free at all just confused and stressed lmao. so i think im learning i need routine so im less scatter-brained and confused so i CAN feel that freedom, ease, and fun as i move through the day. but you saying that reinforced that idea for me and shows me im not the only one who has felt this way. thank you for sharing jenny!

Thanks for bringing this to my awareness, my intention isn't to annoy anyone - there are many reasons why people speak the way they do and it's a challenging habit to correct. In the spirit of honesty, there are kinder ways to give feedback!
