Wanted to give my thoughts on 27:33 I think it was season 2018? There was a shift in the meta where even in Pro leagues sub top laners were subbed in as the ADC cause the champions played in the botlane were bruisers. Bang (SKT ADC at the time), made a comment during his stream along the lines of "For a game to flourish and evolve, developers need to introduce new mechanics that might even distrupt the established norms (in the end break the game). This tendency is why new champions often feel so powerful and overloaded. Tbh I don't know if this bruiser meta will be a positive or a negative direction for the game. As much as the community including myself hate it, we just won't know until we try." The idea being that sometimes it's only by expereimenting that we discover the potential of these changes. I think this really sheds light on why Riot Games implemts changes that provoke such strong reactions.
