Just a small thing a lot of times when you bet and someone raises you call it a re raise, it’s just a raise since you did not raise any other bet. It’s just a bet (from you) and a raise

Yes, it’s a raise, NOT a re-raise. Your graphics phrase it correctly. Your videos are very high quality and I’m a subscriber, but every time you do this, which is very often, it throws me off in my following of the hand. “Wait, what re-raise?? Oh, he again mis-called a raise as a re-raise.”
@Nosirt
@Nosirt 8 ай бұрын
Yes. Re-raise shouldn’t even be a thing. We have a perfectly good word for it- 3bet! So just say “raise” for raise and open, and 3bet for re-raise. No way to be confused

the AJ hand raise the river if the flush isn't out there sure but he could have AK/AQ and be scared of the flush turn so I think its just a call.

The bluffs you find are pretty sick. Especially the A6 one. I wonder what villain had with that hand. They do cap their range a bit from it being a 3b pot+tye sizing. I wonder what they had there, guessing a flush would have called you, but overpair maybe folded? Got them off a Jack? Check raise rivers are for sure underbluffed in live poker. The AJ hero call was also pretty sick. I do wonder if most of their flush draws bet turn after it goes check back on the flop. I would guess AKcc is a 4b at some frequency in this cofig which makes it unlikely. KQcc &AQcc probably bet turn or check raise turn?
@BluffaloSam
@BluffaloSam 8 ай бұрын
Most likely an overpair with a club, I would guess. AJ was a tough call, but having the Jc, and no Ac was too good. I didn't expect to be good 100%, but only needed to be good 33% of the time, which should be doable considering her range

T8s: "My 86s get there" - are you raising 86s from HJ? I would have instacalled the river with AQ. AKdd: WP. AsJc: I think you got lucky here. All AQo should have folded to the turn bet. Villain is supposed to have AJs - QJs, JJ/TT (yes, they check call down til the river), some AKo and ATs only by the river. AQo means she has way too many bluffs. AJdd: This is a great flop for a x-raise, and you get to keep the aggression, instead of hoping villain continues betting turn. AhJd: I don't think you can say that a small bet means that villain has a hand worse than top pair. Many live cash players are afraid to scare hands out of the pot, and still others are afraid of getting a big bet called by better, having no clue what ranges are. Low stackes players with flushes are notorious for betting small to get that little bit of extra money (even though it makes nearly zero strategic sense). KK should absolutely not be taking this line. I think you played it fine. KK checks this flop over 50% HU. MW checks even more. "I don't think BU has TT; he would 3bet that preflop." You 3bet preflop. Villain can have JJ, TT. He "should" have nearly zero 55/44/33 after a 3bet. Almost all of villain's range should consist of AQs/AJs, JJ - 66, 65s/54s. 54s would be a painful combo to see, wouldn't it? In the A6s hand you said that villain should not have bet small on the river bc you could put him in a spot by reraising (and did), then you did the same on the QJdd hand and got put in a bad spot too. You couldn't come up with any bluffs - KQ, K8s, K4s, QTs, Q8s, A2s, and of course ... 52o. (The fun player can have any of these.)

In that KJo hand where you squeezed to 70 in the SB, what do you typically do when you completely whiff? Let’s say flop was Q 5 3 instead of J 5 3. On another note, do you have any good resources for spots like these? I’m really looking for a solid cash game book :D
@BluffaloSam
@BluffaloSam 8 ай бұрын
So, Q53 is a good flop for us, I wouldn't call it a complete whiff as this is a board that's going to be slightly better for us, plus we have a hand that wraps around the Q, allowing us a lot of backdoor gutshots, and 4 outers to an open ender. I would bet this flop small 25-33% and continue on an A, K, T, or 9 with this hand. For studying, I used upswing poker, but any of the big ones will do you good.

New sub . Like the work, even in the swamp of YT poker vlogs . Liked the summerlin suggestion. Wondering (before you get to big to respond to these kinda inquiries 😉,) where the best (safe) area for say to rent a mobile home to get acquainted from fl looking to relocate to Vegas? Would it be east side near Base? Thanks any advice surely appreciated. 👊🏽

6:45 an example of how a wrong play can put the opponent on wrong/slippery ground. (River bluff was a result of x flop behind). Then river call, makes no sense (unless for body language reading). . 5:51... _I'm gonna have tonnes of flushes here_ How come?
@BluffaloSam
@BluffaloSam 8 ай бұрын
I'm going to have a ton of flushes, because I squeezed pre, and took a check line on this flop multiway. Check lines on this flop are going to be mainly give ups, some Jx, Tx, and nut flush draws. Most of my weaker flush draws will be betting this flop like KQcc 87cc 54cc etc. How does river call make no sense?

I'm at talking stick now. In general, I think Vegas is worse, however I'd say the Wynn 2/5 is very comparable to L.A. action, although quite a bit tougher.
