Greece is in the Balkans, a region in Southern Europe Algeria is Eastern but it's to the west of the M. East Armenia is in Caucasus, north to M. East Georgia is also in Caucasus but is considered Eastern European Morocco is also to the west Turkey is close but also not Middle Eastern

The "Greek" song is by sotis volanis, who is gypsy (see Wikipedia). Gypsies are the only people in Greece with a middle eastern culture and musical tradition. The original Greeks are culturally southern European and partially eastern European, but nothing like middle eastern people

@@elainebenez1069 Greece actually is partially in the Middle East. Also with Cyprus there are an additional 700’000 Greeks living in the Middle East and it used to be more until the Seljuks came. Definitely has also many Italian-like traits, but it has much in common with other middle eastern cultures

I think that because it was a part of the Ottoman empire even less than 100 years ago, its music has been heavily influenced by middle eastern music, so musically it is sometimes grouped with the middle east.

Greece is not a Middle Eastern country but Hellens are eastern people! For example ; Byzantine Empire was a eastern empire! Greeks,Georgians,Armenians,Asyrians and Copts and many other minority groups are eastern christians! (Many of them are Orthodox)

@@shubham_mtb4961 maybe he sending you that kind of genre the Gulf music genre because it's not one genre of music you know there is a lot of genres of music in the Arab world and fun fact Jordan now is very famous with Arabic rock music bands the Arabic rock music started in Egypt but ended up in Jordon and I really recommend you to listen to Egyptian music because Egypt was and still is the biggest producer to Arabic music 90% and it had a very big influence over the rest and I thank God for that because of it wasn't for that we Arabs would be listening to only jarring Gulf music

Indeed there are many covers. Firt Ibrahim tatlises did cover and translate it from Kurdish into Turkish and later many different version and covers appeared. Unfortunately I dont knnow the name of this version.

I'm sorry but alot of the music you presented is not the mainstream of that country, the syrian is originally turkish pop, actually syria has a unique type of music you failed to put on this video, Egypt has the best arabic music and you chose an Amr Diab song which is pop, the saudi one is by Abdu who is the classic saudi singer but this song you chose of his is a modernised one, it's not his regular music. Also yemen has a lot of beautiful traditional music and you chose the '80s generic pop song. The israeli song is actually an arabic song that was sung with hebrew lyrics. The greek music also did not sound greek by Jack Davids

Any chance you could type up a list of the song/artist names in the video (at least the ones you know) since the original poster of the video is apparently dead or something? At the very least I'd like to know what the Saudi song is. I love the instrumentals on that track, so dark and badass sounding.
