Yes. I leave the oil inside for a few weeks before changing it. It pours out easily from the grooved corned and simply wipe the inside with paper towel. The outside can be wiped with a damp cloth.

Hi, yes I leave the oil in here for quite a few uses and carefully store it in the cupboard then pour it out and replace with new 😊

That’s a shame on the timing of it breaking down. We do like how easy it is to use this fryer. Lidl seem to be hit and miss at times. Sometimes they advertise a new product coming in and then they don’t get enough for the demand and sell out before we even get to the shop.

@@Mandyglen Indeed ... the timing of the Appliance breaking down was most UNFORTUNATE - and attributed to a COINCIDENCE since SilverCrest products are generally well built and of a high quality. I really miss my Lidl Mini Fryer as it was very functional as well as economical to run in addition to being very easy to keep clean. Sadly, I've been unable to replace it and I just give up on Middle of Lidl Offers now. They never have NOWT or have things that you want in stock ... even if you visit the store FIRST THING in the morning. I just do Grocery Shopping at Lidl now ... even that's becoming a bit of a pain as many essential items are often out of stock. THANK YOU for your TERRIFIC reviews and videos. They're very informative and I always look forward to watching them, as well as listening to your lovely [is it Geordie ???] voice ... 😃😃😃🇬🇧

The lid comes off which gets it right out of the way and then theres a pour spout in one corner making it easy to tip out.

The lid can be removed by pressing the pins in at the back. You can pour out the oil via the lip in one corner. I then just wipe it out with paper towels.

How do I empty tbis

It's super easy to clean. The lid comes off for full washing, pour the oil out from the corner which has a groove for easy pouring, wipe out the main compartment with a soft cloth :o)
