Having had my 2015 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade for two years and completed just over 10,000 miles I look back and reflect on my time with the bike and talk about my likes and dislikes. I also do a rough tot up of the ownership costs over the 2 years including servicing, fuel consumption and insurance.

I love my 2022 CBR1000RR! All the things you said I 💯 agree about this bike. Why some people choose to hate in it is way beyond me.

Great video. Actually considering selling my “new” bike and picking one of these up. Arguably peak Fireblade. Not all about peak power and it is more useable on the road than the latest models.

See this is where I’m at also .. this gem model is way better as far road riding than the new gen cbr. Plus to me this is one of the best looking bikes even now!

I did just this and I'm loving every minute of it. The downside about buying a ~10yr old bike is finding aftermarket parts.

I own exactly the same bike. To be fair. I pretty much agree with everything you say. Pretty spot on review. Mines been the same. It can do anything.

I own the 2022 and agree with everything said. I’m weary about the day the electronics fail. But aside from that, this bike does everything well.

As a fellow Honda guy I was curious on your thoughts about Honda's new CB1000R (which uses a re-tuned 2006 FireBlade engine). I am considering it as my next Bike upgrade.

I rode one last summer and I thought it was epic. I love the neo-cafe styling myself although I know others don't. It's got a lovely riding position and handles very sweetly. Loads of power, more than enough for a naked ridden on the road. The bi-directional quickshifter is brilliant going down the box, but the one I rode was a bit jerky shifting up, but that was probably badly set up ignition cut out timings.

Wow, sorry to hear of your troubles. I think you must've got unlucky. Average says that there will always be an exception to anything that is normally reliable. Not great when you're the exception. Thanks for watching

phycalia got a 2014 not one problem with it, sorry to hear you have issues. Trying to sell it now snd let me tell you it is like trying to sell labelled bottles of HIV on dragons den. I am sick of flying back from work at 120mph i want to get an MT07 a solid usable city bike. I will pray for your Honda tonight.

How long is a piece of string??? I had Bridgestone S21 on mine and I really liked them. Others prefer a different brand. Tyres are all about personal taste and feel. I've got a video in the pipeline discussing this.

As for oil, whatever the standard stuff the Honda dealer put into it. In the time I had it, I never had to add any oil between services.
