Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned the international community’s perceived double standards towards the ongoing crisis in Gaza in a speech on Saturday, questioning the silence of those who expressed sorrow for the civilian deaths in the Ukraine-Russia war.
The Turkish leader’s message highlights the thousands of innocent children killed in Gaza, urging global leaders to raise their voices against this, as they did for Ukraine.

Unfortunately it’s just rhetoric he’s using the whip up nationalist sentiment to ensure his popularity. Arab leaders also do this from time to time but in terms to actual action they won’t do anything unfortunately. Turkey is one of the USA’s best allies in the region. I may be proven wrong but I doubt it. Look at Saudi Arabia and other regional nations normalizing relations with Israel before this conflict. The populations of these countries sympathize with the plight of the Palestinians but the leaders are in it for themselves and therefore will try to cozy up to the US and Israel, in some cases covertly and in others overtly.
