Chair of UN inquiry: ‘Israel has obstructed the Commission’s investigations’

Navi Pillay, head of the independent Commission of Inquiry on the Israel-Hamas war said on Wednesday that “Israel has obstructed the Commission’s investigations” and that the commission’s “safeguarding of evidence has been hampered”.
Pillay spoke after the presentation of a report accusing Israel of crimes against humanity at the UN Headquarters in Geneva.
Commissioner Chris Sidoti also pushed back against claims that the Israeli army is “the most moral army in the world”, saying that his assessment of criminal conduct in Gaza reveals the Israeli army to be “one of the most criminal armies in the world” instead.
