HOT RODS - CLASSIC CARS - CUSTOMS - ANTIQUE JUNK - SWAP MEET & CAR SHOW - On Saturday, June 15th, we went to the 10th Annual Spring Redneck Rumble at the at the Wilson County Expo Center in Lebanon, Tennessee. Lots of Hot Rods, Rat Rods, and Vendors all around. It is like a huge party, swap meet, car show, and get together all at the same time. This is put on by Both Barrels & Grease Monkey Magazine, the same fine folks that put on several other shows in the area.
Believe it or not, this was our first visit to the Redneck Rumble. This is the Spring version. There is also a Fall version that we hope to make it to this year. On this day, it was hot. I mean STINKING HOT! I love hot weather, but my cameras did not love the heat and humidity. Also, it was HUGE. Now, I have been to huge shows like those at the Daytona Turkey Run, Summernites Cruises, and several really big ones in California. However, this show is definitely one of a kind.
The cars in attendance are to be pre-1970 vehicles. Most of the vehicles were not stock and had been highly modified. Many Rat Rods, Hot Rods, and Customs all over the property. What a wonderful and strange grouping of vehicles and people.
Also, it was interesting to see all of the different modes of transportation people drove just to get around. Sure, there were scooters & golf carts. But saw a lot of go carts, tiny cycles, lawnmowers, and much, much more. It is hard to describe. Better just to watch the video and see it for yourself.
Ian Roussel from Full Custom Garage was in the Expo Building meeting anyone and everyone that would take the time to stand in line. Very cool. We go into the Expo Building towards the end of the video. Just know this Expo Building is a calm, cool place to go. But the real action is outside all of the place at the Rumble.
We will definitely meander back to the Redneck Rumble again. Well worth the $20 admission fee to get in to this unique experience.
