Amazing !!! Same issue I had with Harley Benton mp100, the difference being they do not offer support for it … just ordered my midi captain after this video !

Looking forward to buy once there is a tutorial video for MAC firmware update process. There are too many people claiming "brick" upon attempting process. Yes, I've already read the directions, but you need a video. In my experience, if you misconstrue ANY LITTLE STEP in a computer process, the entire process can break things including my patience. So, you have more purchases once that video is released.

Hi there... I followed the instructions to put the ne files inside the device but I get an error daying some files can't be read / copied... tried quite a few times... using Mac

If slot B is already on then surely you have to press switch 2 twice to get the Midi Captain and the KPP in sync? How does the Midi Captain know the on/off state of the KPPs modules?

My MIDI Captain seemed great but came up with an error that seemed to make it bricked after a couple of days of use. I sent an email with a picture of how. Hoping for a response.

Don't worry, MIDI Captain can always be recovered. You can do the update process with the FW3.5 which can be downloaded from paintaudio.com to recover it. Will reply your email soon.

I also have my MIDI Captain bricked. I was configuring a preset in Geek Mode, and then it came up with an error. Since then I cannot use it. I sent a screenshot to Paint Audio via their webpage but haven't heard back. I've reapplied the current firmware (3.04), but it did not resolve the issue.

@@YoRonLucas I haven't been able to get mine to be recognized as a disk after this happened. It just loads with the error. Hoping to have some advice soon.

Hello does the tuner mode appear on the lcd screen as well or does it only activate the LED’s on the KPP?

So far the tuner control is only for tuning on the tuner LED of KPP. A plan is to add a tuner LCD mode on the controller with note display.

Not sure where your reply about the USB cable went but that was the issue! I'm pretty surprised since it was powering on over usb and everything just with an error. That worked! Ran the firmware again and all was good. Maybe the suspect USB caused it to brick to begin with.
