3 жыл бұрынMELISSA MANCHESTER’S new single, a re-envisioned recording of her first hit, “MIDNIGHT BLUE" - co-written by Manchester with her longtime collaborator, Carole Bayer Sager - is released in support of World Singing Day 2020 (OCT 17), a global celebration of singers everywhere, even as they join to vocalize virtually during a time of pandemic. The Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter's music video includes images from her stage performances of the 1975 Billboard charted classic that span her fifty-year career.

I’m old enough to remember when this was playing on the radio, and then my record player! I had all of Melissa Manchester’s albums and I played them over and over! I have always loved Melissa Manchester’s voice! And this song is perfect!

First saw her sing this live at the Capital Theater in Passaic, NJ in February 1975 when she was the opening act for Billy Joel. They are both still amazing.

Melissa Manchester is a class act through and through. A gorgeous lady with a beautiful spirit and soul. This is such a beautiful reimagining of the 1975 hit. When I was about 18 years old (many, many years ago) I had the pleasure of seeing Melissa Manchester in Lake Tahoe. I was incredibly moved by her performance. Fast forward to 2020 with the horrific challenges we are all facing and she once again compels us to be moved and inspired to keep the faith. I think WE CAN MAKE IT ( VOTE...To be sure we make it 😜BIDEN-HARRIS)

Midnight Blue is just one of about 5 beautiful songs Melissa Manchester . This song takes me back to the days at our summer retreat v when I was a kid and we just had radio and this was a hit in those Summer days of the mid to Late 70s . Beautiful memories of my parents too !! Miss you mom and dad 😢❤😊

Melissa..We SO enjoyed your show here at Laguna Woods PAC!..It was so full & a gr8 mixed bag,never boring for 1 second..Loved your choices..Interesting that you opened w/Dean Martin's "Ain't That A Kick In The Head"!.You sound better than ever tho many yrs have passed,your voice now has that timber,so enriching!.What fun to see you & Barry Manilow on tape doing the Kelly/Garland FOR ME AND MY GAL. FABULOUS.. In 1982 I turned 15. That's supposed to be the "coming of age" magical times in a person's life. For me it was not always sunny. My parent had just wrapped up a nasty divorce. I'm the youngest of five kids, the baby. It's true, you know. By the last kid they will let you juggle chainsaws in the living room long as you use coasters for drinks. Till then my mom and I were the cliche', best friends. Then menopause hit my mother like a freight train and she became "one of them". The fights became so chaotic and vicious. My aunt realized the seriousness of the situation when I called her from a gas station because we'd had another in a long line of screaming matches. She picked me up and that was the beginning of spending weekends at her house for the next year. The local radio station would repeat a top 40 songs show on Sundays with a break in the show for some local dedications. I'd sent one saying how much I missed the way she and I were before. Not much to do in a small town on Sundays. Mom was doing yardwork listening to the radio and heard my dedication of Midnight Blue to the mother I missed and needed back
