They’ve updated the planetary containers too, due to the splines getting damaged from the F clutch. The container now comes anodized.

My 10R80 will need this eventually since I'm pushing 800hp. The reason I haven't turned it up was because of the trans.

About the same, I would say the 6r80 is a little more straight forward. The 6r80 uses 4 clutches with an overdrive set. 10R80 uses 6. The 6R80 holds more power, but it needs billet intermediates, baskets, and planetary to hold. The 10r80 doesn't really need any of that

@snowfreak207 yes once you put all the billet shit in the 6r80. 10 speed is fine till like 1100 then you run into longevity issues

I have a gen3 10r80 coyote swap and car is amazing! If I wanted to put a whipple on the car will the stock 10r80 survive at 650rw or 700rwhp in a 3klb fox? Also, how much is a rebuilt if I needed this service. Thanks Great videos new sub

I've seen them hold 750 hp at 2775 lb. Do second gear launches and roll into it as best as you can to save it for a while but it'll take it. Make sure it's up to temp first before you romp it

When will you guys be tearing into a 10R80 out of a 2024 truck? If you haven't already. I think Manuel said he noticed right away there is no physical gear selector on the trans case? Now that the Whipple Kits are out for the 2024 F150's, you'll probably start getting requests. This was a cool video!

If your watching this video do yourself a favor and buy yourself a used trans for 300-600 pull it apart and then put it back its easy then play with getting small steel plates10R80 and 90 are easy to build that shit is as easy as putting a radiator on just make sure you buy one rebuild it then swap it with yours and sell it after its already built

Yea, lol thanks for the chime. I’m not even a mechanic i just diy my own shit . But you know I be loving to watch these guys work sometimes you learn easier tricks to get done faster. But these guys be acting like they doing the impossible when it’s pretty simple shit.. honestly I think body work is harder then this shit.. you ever tried to un-crease a body line lmfao that’s skill. Sanding making sure no pin holes replicating body lines that’s god like technique you only get from practice.. this stuff these guys do is following build instructions or revers taking apart ☠️☠️☠️ it doesn’t take an education to do it but you do need to know how to read numbers tho 😭😭😭 but yea these smucks trip me out . Can take a trans out and rebuild it in 2-3 hours labor should be no more then 500-1k not including parts max just because they got the knowledge. These smucks 10k 15k who in the fuxxxx ☠️☠️☠️ even at 5-7k is wild to me 2k ok 3k you pushing it 10k smh 🤦🏻

I know you want the pros to answer and I'm not it, but fluid has specs it should be good for. You can run hot but for a limited amount of time. Check the fluid specs brother.

Allegedly anything above 220° is no bueno, ive seen 225 shortly on the track but no issues. Got a valve body, those are the first to warp/bind
