First I would like to thank the "RC Elf" for the AWESOME gift to the channel, Thank You!!!!
Again, I am trying to piece parts of videos together so I'm sorry if it seems "blotchy". I'm not much of a speaker but rather more of a hands on & get s*it done type of guy, again, sorry if I miss speak or spoke.
This is my first CW-01 chassis kit, and it shows in this step of the build, as I had a few "oops" but was nothing major and easy to correct. I don't edit out those oops, I rather let people see that I'm far from perfect, plus I just get so excited to build something new!! Am I the only one that gets this way?? Lets here about it!!
Again, A Big Thank You to the RC Elf, and all the "normal" guys that help me along the way, you guy's know who you are.... Mark, Rob, Kevin, Pete, Peter, Carmine..... the list is long but these few gents, and others, always pointed me the right way, Thank You Guy's!!!!

Thanks Mark, I'm sure we all mess up sometimes, just like a bit ago, was putting the G10 parts on the WO chassis and the #11 blade tip found my thumb, LOL. All good, was just the tip, I was cleaning up the tab left on one. I read you started your WO, good news is, the double o-rings in the shocks HAVE NOT leaked yet, I had the front on the buggy but I built one rear the same as I did the fronts, put in a bit of paper towel on the shaft behind the spring and let it sit for a few day upright, no leak, yet. ATB my friend.

Hi there Bob, happy New Year to you and the family. Nice to see that even the most familiar gearboxes, can still present a challenge to the hobbyist. Great bit of filming and advice on how to get that gearbox ready for action. Keep things going my friend, looking out for the next part of the assembly of this great model. 😊😉😊

Thanks Brother John. The truck is done, has been, but I haven't really gave it a test drive yet. I think everybody should own a CW-01 chassis kit!!!! So much fun to build. Happy New Year to You & Yours my friend!!!

LOL, I had a few builds that went without any, but most I rush and miss something or did something wrong. Like when I build the center gear box on my TXT-2, I thought I forgot something but it was fine.

Happy New Year Bob 🎉 If we didn't make mistakes, we wouldn't be human. We would all be robots. And as for "ooops" moments, that just goes to show that you are building something in real time. I haven't got a clue about computers or editing software. I set my phone to record, push the red button, film what I've got ready, stop the red button again and upload to KZfaq. If I spent 4hours trying to edit a video, I think that's wasted time you could spend on some more RC builds. I'm very much looking forward to seeing your Pumpkin run video as I received my very FIRST Pumpkin for Christmas 👍 All of my other CW-01's started life as a Lunchbox 😊 so this will be a great start to my New Year 😎

I use GoPro's & a laptop, my phone (cell) wont do videos or run apps (it's an old 3G "smart" phone. I know that smart phones are "the in thing" as far as multi-media goes, but I only talk & sent text/photos with mine. Those small screen with bad eyes and all the crap like screen sizing, adds, pop ups...... too much for me. Yes, editing sucks and that's the reason why most of my videos are "raw", LOL. Happy New Year Peter!!!!

LOL, you can see by the way it ended that there are a few problems I ran into trying to save some of this stuff. Yup, that sneaky F'n gear meesed up the smooth I had going, LOL.

Yeah, filming and building at the same time is not easy. I get messed up just talking about the stuff I have already done!!! I did have to chuckle a little as I have literally just built tow of these gear boxes and did the same thin both times with dropping the bevel gear in before the counter gear... both times! As long as you are having fun and sharing the experience with everyone so we can learn and share along with you brother, that is all that matters! Like you said in the description you are a get s*it done kinda of guy, just be yourself and work with what you got recorded! You are doing fine, it just takes some time to get used to talking the camera. Happy New year and looking forward to the rest of the build and seeing that bad boy out running!!

Thanks for the kind words Addam, Truck is done, but the videos are not. I have to keep loading them into the laptop (which is a POS), then edit (hate it, no good at it)...... Two other steps to get the on YT, sometimes it works, sometimes it don't. Many times I have to upload the same video a few times (sometimes up to 7 times) just to get them to play, if they don't play on the desktop they wont play on YT. Yes I use free edit stuff on the laptop, No, I'm no good with computers or bandwidth this or that, GB this or that. I don't understand pc stuff or the lingo, I cant even work a zip file, no clue what it really is. Anyway, thanks again for the kind words. Next RC videos will be a Kyosho (build is done), then a BHMWO (almost done with it's build), the a TD4 & HB.

@@UncleBobsRC Yeah, editing on a laptop is not the easiest. The seem to make the laptop barely good enough to function and trying to do anything demanding on them just bogs them down. I have had occasional upload issues as well, it sucks waiting forever to go through the process to just find out it is not right and have to go back through it all hoping it works right. sounds like you have quite a fun list of upcoming projects!!!

@@AddamsPlayground A gaming laptop is in my future, I hope that will help with the issues I'm having. Yes, a few projects to do plus some rebuilds coming, My OG Blackfoot, The OG Fox, a Losi Mini LST (far from stock), My XV01, My TT-02 Type-SR..... I still need to get the Tamiya FF-01 Opel Vectra out for a test run..... So much to do & post yet... Happy New Year!!!!

Hay Bob. Well first off. My manual is different from yours!! steps 5, 6 and 7 are all on the same page P6 weird! Second, I'm the same, can't wait to get started and sometimes probably a bit big headed and don't check the manual properly until I cock something up lol. The worst one for me just lately was gluing a rear tyre of my CW-01 on backwards, fortunately noticing my mistake straight a way but then somehow doing it again so ended up fitting it three times and gluing it twice lol. Great stuff mate it's coming along nicely. All the best and keep safe my friend.

Hiya Rob, My Pumpkin has been done for over a month, but I lost footage as you know, I found some of it maybe most of it. I just looked at my manual P5 (steps 2, 3 & 4) for me was putting the servo saver on the servo, putting on the A4 servo mounts, installing the body posts & installing the servo in the chassis. Weird they are different, being only the wheels, body color & stickers are different. Oh that sucks when I glue tires on the wrong way, I did the once or twice before, long ago, but have done it. After the Pumpkin videos are done, I have another kit I built and recorded and now I'm working on the Blockhead Wild One. ATB Mate, stay safe & healthy also!!

@@UncleBobsRC It's page 6 that is different . you just have steps 5 and 6 cuz your step 5 has two versions of installing the electronics. Good luck with blockhead and hope you don't lose any footage of it mate.

@@robbrennanrc I'll have to take a closer look now, It's got me wondering. The Blockhead Motors Wild One almost done my friend!!! We didn't get the Carson ESC with the US kit, we got the Hobbywing 1060 ESC, If you seen Addam's Playground video on it, you'll see the the on/off switch wont fit the spot on the chassis like the Tamiya ESC's do, it's much smaller & only one mounting hole, I have a bad TBLE-02S here, I might cut the switches off and swap them just so I can put the switch in the proper location.
