The music was great, the economy even greater but the politics of the era and social inequality not so much. The 80s might look like fun from a distance but conservative politics were dominating everything and making life miserable for most of the rest of us. Thats why the music was so great...its all we had to grab onto to mentally escape from all their bs. And here we are in 2024 and they're at it again trying to stop anyone from having any fun or from simply just existing!

Have to say, back in those days you didn't know have to know every major dance out there. You moved to rhythm and that was it, you had fun and there was no judgment. Now every song has a specific dance routine, you don't know it and people get all high and mighty.

Isn't it a revelation when that happens? Same thing's happened to me a few times over the decades - but not in the case of Midnight Star I'm happy to say. Was dancing to this and their other gems in the Sydney discos back in the 80's. Search for all their extended versions if you haven't already.
