The sun never sets in Northern Norway from mid May until the end of July, and in Svalbard from April to August.
Life in this part of the world is very different.

It's really odd because the sun's up, its altitude is so low. It's not high, high up in the sky. But a pretty cool phenomenon!

the further North you go the upper the sun will be - like in Svalbard it is almost at zenith in the middle of the night.)

true! it's a strange feeling when you don't really realise it's getting late, because the sun is always shining. But curtains or sleep masks make wonders!
