Traditions/Culture (and even superstitions) evolved to solve problems that have long been forgotten. If we lose our culture & traditions, those problems could reemerge. Some practices were for survival, and some promoted physical or community/social health. Additionally, something as simple as decorating with flowers benefits our emotional health. It is a deep subject and one we don't think much about. Keep it up!!!

The way Finland celebrates Midsummer with bonfires, saunas, and lakeside gatherings is simply enchanting! Can't wait to experience it firsthand someday.

Yes, the plants in your greenhouse are peppers in English. If they taste spicy, they are chili peppers. If they taste mold, they are called bell peppers. I believe English people call peppers “capiscums” from their binomial name (taxonomic nomenclature) Capiscum annuum. But maybe it was only one guy who wrote that, that makes me think it is so.
