Players recovering from Covid should be treated as if they have a musculo-skeletal injury, with rest and a program of rehabilitation. Long Covid is debilitating.

Watching the Arsenal Women lately is watching a team that has lost its mojo. 90% of the great link-up play from just a month or so ago has gone - too many players getting the ball in a dangerous position but nobody creating great spaces to pass into so results in a speculative blast or a tackle after indecision. They need to be sat down to watch a few past games and see how easy they used to make magic things happen then to see why they don’t lately. Towards the end of last season I honestly enjoyed watching the women more than the men - they had come so far.

I have to say, the lineswoman on the crowd's side was appalling. She missed about 3 offsides and tried to give a clear corner to Arsenal as a goal kick.

In women's football, I think Vivianne Miedema is Iain Wright + Thierry Henry. A living legend along with Leah Williamson and Beth Mead. I hope she can stay at Arsenal WFC forever until she retires.

This trainer believes in powerplayers, not in brains. Hard work is respectable but it means simple play, little finesse and the wasting of chances. It is hard to see Miedema’s passing and positioning going to waste because other players actually don’t get it and want to shoot on goal. Arsenal Women have regressed under this coach.
