Hello 👋. Do you still have this machine and do you still love ❤️ it? Thanks for a great review of this washer.

Great review, it was hard to find something useful. I assume it's possible to use UltraPhase1 & 2 and, also, fabric conditioner. How would this work? You add it to the conditioner compartment but do you need to tell the machine to use it?

Great review! really helpful info. I have a question about the TwinDos. When you set the agents to 60ml and 45ml, that means it will use those amounts no matter if you fill the machine with just 4kg of towels or a full 9kg of towels?
@dpugelj1236 жыл бұрын
Paudi88 I thought it was like that but I wanted to ask someone that owns one like you, just to be certain 😊

Just one more question. I see from your video that you really like the TwinDos system, but would you say it is a big game changer and you couldn't live without the TwinDos function?

I’ve always used liquid bleach for my whites. How would I add bleach to the Miele - or is it not recommended?
@brainchaser5 жыл бұрын
Hello, in order to configure the machine for your own detergent and softener you need to check the amount needed on their instructions. Doses depend on the laundry weight....do you consider 5 kg or 8 kg to configure the machine?
@sabistar445 жыл бұрын
Hello! I would go by the maximum weight, so I would input the dosage for normal soiling for a 9kg. The machine will then calculate down for lighter loads I assume or increase it for heavy soiling. But Miele don't mention weight in the manual. As mentioned, I think the system works best with their detergents.

Thanks a lot for the overview! Have you tried to outsmart the machine by trying to reprogramme it when using universal detergent for delicates?
@sabistar443 жыл бұрын
It's impossible - unless you tell the machine that it contains delicate detergent, but that would prevent you using twindos on other programmes. I guess you could change it every time but seems like a lot of effort!

Finally I chose BOSCH 8 Series with iDos system. Seems more user-friendly :)

I would love to have this machine: multi line display and a wheel to select program. Unfortunately now they only make multi line displays as a cumbersome touchscreen and without wheel.

I have a question: I want to use a liquid softener/conditioner. I poured it in the drawer where the capsules usually go (as per instructions). However, I could't find anywhere this: Do I have to select the option "cap dosing"? I mean, I know that you select "cap dosing" when you use capsules, but do you select it when you pour liquid conditioner. Will it skip it if I don't select it? I am using TwinDos, if that matters. Thanks!
@sabistar443 жыл бұрын
Hello - if you're using conditioner as normal then you don't need to select anything - the machine will fill up through the softener compartment for a few short bursts at the final rinse. Does the conditioner disappear after your wash, or is it still there?
@ptankov3 жыл бұрын
@@sabistar44 Thank you very much for your reply to an old video! Yesterday I couldn't wait and experimented - did what you mention - just poured in the compartment without selecting anything special and the machine seems to have taken it, because it is not there now. So, it appears that the machine does just as you say: "a few short bursts of water at the final rinse through the softener compartment". I'm guessing all machines do that, but I haven't used conditioner ever before, so that was my 1-st try. Then again, what is that "cap dosing" option for? I mean, if I put a capsule there, won't it just use it like a regular conditioner, or will it have to accept it at a different stage?
@sabistar443 жыл бұрын
@@ptankov happy to help! The “Cap” button is so you can select what cap you are using and consequently when it will be added to the wash. Stain booster or wool caps for instance will be added at the beginning of the cycle. So it’s best to tell the machine what cap you’ll be using!

I have a question: Can this machine skip programme stages? For instance, you are in the Main wash, and you want to skip the rinses and do the final spin. Or, if you want a final spin to be based on the Delicates or Woolens programme so you skip the previous programme stages (Pre-wash/Main wash/Rinses) just for a short final spin *specifically designed for delicates or woolens.* Is it possible to do so in this Miele? I know that some modern Miele's can do it!
@sabistar445 жыл бұрын
Costis Tiphas hello! No I don't think that this is possible. Once a program starts you're pretty locked into it , there is even only a short opportunity to pause and add laundry. After this you would have to cancel the program. There is a separate rinse program and seperate spin in the Further programs menu. But you can't choose stages from different programs...
@geliopouthapesei5 жыл бұрын
sabistar44 That sucks :-( And guys...That's one of the reasons why I HATE the modern washing machines of today! They say that cheaper washing machines may be better...I guess I have to agree with these experts. I LOVE old machines with moving/advancing timer dials and mechanical temperature control dials. nowadays the manufacturers can do whatever they want with the modern machines, they can add as many restrictions as possible to the software of their machines. The modern machines of today have a stupid brain. "you can no longer change the temperature!" "you can no longer add laundry!" "you can no longer select extra options!" whereas old ones never had such things.
@sabistar445 жыл бұрын
I get what you're saying and certainly true of other modern machines. With this machine although you can't pick and choose different parts of other programmes, you can customise each programme which for me offers the best flexibility. The Cottons programme can be tailored to be very intensive for towels as shown here, but I also use it for more delicate items by adjusting the settings. I've yet to be disappointed or had to rewash things because they haven't come out clean. For me, this is the best solution - one programme becomes infinitely customisable and you're able to save this for next time..
@geliopouthapesei5 жыл бұрын
sabistar44 also with old machines you have COMPLETE CONTROL over the temperature. You can even choose between the temperatures that are shown on the fascia, ex: 37C! My grandmother still has one of these old machines, it's about 8-9 years old now but it's hardly degraded since then. The programs are based on letters (A/B/C/D/F/G for cottons, H/J/K/L/M/N/P for delicates/woolens)

sabistar44 Oh and one other thing: The display will NEVER tell you the exact time left. It may get more or less depending on errors (unbalance/sudslocks/etc) or load sensing. It's a useless POS on modern machines

I just bought MIELE WWI860 WCS (W1) and MIELE TWJ660 WP (T1). They were quite expensive, but I hope they are worth of money. I have never had quality washing machine or tumble dryer. There are most probably many features I will never use but I bought them because of the build quality. Washing machine never is too large. Bigger the better. Bigger keeps your clothes in good condition. If you pack washing machine too full your clothes will suffer.

I have the same machine and have problems with clogged pipes from twindos systems. It is really my own fault since I haven’t done the maintenance of cleaning the twindos every month … did not know that it needed to be done. I have opened the machine and cleaned every hose inside the machine going all the way up to the drum but it still doesn’t work… I hear the pump wanting to draw the liquid from the containers but with no success…it now says that there is not enough detergent in the container please repeat the operation “. Is there a way to access the service menu to force water running through the hoses?
@sabistar442 жыл бұрын
Hello! Are you sure the machine is recognising the container is in there? I had some problems during the cleaning cycle where the I had to push the container in and keep holding it or the machine would just stop. As for the service menu I'm sorry I have no idea, I've only seen it done by the engineers with a laptop and optical cable.

@@sabistar44 they are recognized… have also tried what you mentioned. Although now I think I’m going crazy… Just for fun… I Managed to enter service mode… Then when activating/running compartment 1 I had opens the back of the machine to see what happens… the pump nr 2 was working at that time ?!?!?! Then tried nr 2 and the pump 1 was working… so I figured that I had attached the cables in the wrong pump but this can not be true since the have strapped the cables so they don’t reach both… What am I doing wrong?! 😭 I’m going mental since to me this is not logic.

Great video. Hope I'm not being too cheeky asking a Miele washing machine question. I elected to go for Twin Dos use immediately after my conventional soap powder ran out. Yesterday, a comment appeared on the display, after I switched the machine on; ¡ Use "TwinDos" or . My 1 & 2 bottles are still 25% full, does the machine think my Dos bottles are empty? I've referred to my operating Instructions booklet, but there doesn't seem to be a page of Miele machine language explanation. Any advice or observations would be most appreciated. Kind regards Robert

Hi Robert- happy to help. What did the message say, just "use twindos"? I've seen a message like that commonly when you select a stain or a high soiling level, it says "use Twindos or add stainer remover into compartment 1" or something like that.

That's a long programme... I wonder how these washes compare to the likes of an LG turbowash or Samsung quickdrive programme

Usman Dar I haven’t had experience of LG for some years, but this definitely deals with stains better than having to pre treat. Also, my LGs have never proved durable

Really disappointed Miele has decided to become the Keurig of home appliances. As if we don't have enough plastic waste already.

By Miele trying to make a washer that's easy to use they made it more complicated with "Caps" and the "UltraPhase 1 & 2" compartments. The washer and dryer are just too small for American's one day a week wash loads. Why no Bleach compartment in Miele washers, sometimes liquid chlorine bleach is needed to remove certain types of stains. Miele just can't figure out it's American market...even their canister vacuums with their tiny tools don't make sense here. I wish I could like Miele (I've owned some products) but they need to make FULL sized appliances if they want more dominance in America.
