Trevor Clevenot, team France in the Games against Brazil and Poland at Tokyo 2020 OG. With help of Earvin N'gapeth, Jennia Grebennikov, Benjamin Toniutti, Antoine Brizard, Jean Patry and others they reached for the Golden Olympic Medal.
Trevor Clevenot is playing currently in Poland in Jastrzebski Wegiel.

Wow i've never seen that tactic before. 1:55, since Toniutti is not a strong blocker, they just moved him to guard the tip and they shifted the middle and leftside all the way to the right to make a 2man block

japan also does this because sekita is also not a strong blocker (both teams only use this when it's an out of system play)

Я долго думал, почему не Тилли, Русар или Линил, но понял, что у Клевено лучшая защита и приём среди этих ребят, ведь игра от защиты это основа игры Франции. Клевено не выбивается из принимающей линии на фоне Гребенникова и Нгапета

Unpopular opinion: Brizard is better than Toniutti.

Considering he played most of the finals, I imagine the French coach feels the same way 🤣

Im honestly very torn between the two. Brizard is obviously taller and more physical, but Toniutti has more accurate sets and arguably better game sense.

@@cliffworsfold1994 yes but i think he also played due to the fact that hes in the Russian league and maybe he knows their language or tendencies. Russia is a tall, physical team too, so Brizard is a better fit

@@jinandjuice9 good points, but from memory Brizard also played most of the rounds leading up to that as well (semis, quarters)

Maybe now. France qualified for the Olympics with Brizard on the court, too. He's better in block, service, and to set the middle blockers than Tonniuti. And pretty consistent everywhere else... but you gotta give credit to Totti and Tillie for that : they helped a lot Brizard and gave him a lot of time to improve, he wasn't good when he arrived in French team...
