You can thank Simon Bridges and National for outlawing gangs, many troubled youth find that stigma attractive, which has boosted membership, and the best thing to do is support them as individuals, not to assume that they’ll become criminals, if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its life believing it’s an idiot. Crime is crime, it’s not just for gangs, least we forget the largest scale crimes done in our country by those less expected.

I've got to say I went into this very judgemental and looking down on them and gang life, but part way through I started seeing them as family members on their own journeys.
